Uh, what the hell makes you think that? Most video game producers set out to make a good game anyway, despite the competition (or at least I'd hope they would). This is the route I would certainly take.
The console war is mostly retarded though. Like I said previously...

Even though I hate Halo, I will say Reach does look like it's improved quite a lot of the problems I thought the series had. I still hate it though.

The older ones had horrible physics, in my opinion. I thought the way the characters were running around and jumping just looked unappealing. But, like I said, Reach seemed to have fixed this. Also, I always died way too quickly when playing against my friends. They'd spot me and, a half a second later, BOOM I was dead. That's fucking retarded.
Halo Wars looked interesting cause, while I suck at RTS's, I think they are pretty cool.

I don't follow the series enough to know the differences.
And I really don't care if it was futuristic. I still didn't like the physics.

It's not really a difference thing, but how they make the games. Infinity ward actually tries to replicate the wars (With some imagination some times.) that the game takes place in. Treyarch is a more exaggeration then Infinity (There was a war in the Cold War?! When was this?) Both are pretty good though.
I own a PS3 and the only games I play on it are Rockband and singstar. And blu-rays. I own a Wii and its my fave of this gen.

I thought the console war was sort of over now. In a stalemate or something. It was something people talked about like two-three years ago. I guess the next batch of console wars will turn up next time they upgrade the consoles.
I, myself, am a PC gamer. I play 95% of my games on the PC. The ones I don't are the Guitar Heroes.
Of course I don't really own a console either. I have a Gamecube... I've found I've lost the "console touch". That is I just don't know how to use a controller anymore. At least one with those joystick things. How can anyone play games properly with a PS3 controller? It just seems impossible to me.

Ha. I am the exact opposite.
I've dabbled in mmo's (WoW, Ragnarok Online), and I have a played a few of off-the-shelf computer games, and I have to say, most computer games aren't for me. (save for minecraft and RM games). The only computer I have isn't really catered to playing games either, so that contributes. Also, I can't play a platformer on the pc for shit; platforming controls and the keyboard DO NOT MIX.
Console games just feel right to me. Also, it helps since I have played them since I was, like, 5. Getting used to the playstation/xbox controller? There's practically no such thing. I suppose most consoles gamers have somewhat of a natural talent to using a controller. Furthermore, the Xbox 360 controller is the most comfortable controller I have ever held, in my opinion.
