that game OWNED. Also, I quite enjoyed Burnout 3 and Super Mario Kart and Rock n' Roll Racing. In fact, I do enjoy racing games (as long as its a game and not some lame "driving simulation engine" like gran turismo)

Crash Team racing. /thread
So yeah, I think simulators in general are boring unless you kinda have to. Like Madden for instance, the arcade like football games with the possible exception of a few are all horrible in any way imaginable.

I hate racing games except burnout. Their so lame since all you do is move round a course as fast as you can wow how boring -_- another reason I never got a PS3 good games yes but too many racing games not enough action shooters.
I used to have Star Wars pod racer, the rides where cool.
I agree the PSP2 isn't looking too hot and the 3ds looks gimmicky. I wonder how an Xbox portable would turn out, I can always dream. Maybe they realized handhelds are a dying phase.

PS3 is surviving on Gran Tourismo no matter how bad GT5 is. I hate simulators, but even I think it's ridiculous Sony needs GT to get a large chunk of its sales when games like Ratchet and Clank: Future, and strangely enough, Uncharted, don't get even close to GT's sales.

Speaking of, Shooting games are the popular games now, and even though it's not the only Genre on the 360, they have too many. Wayyyy too many.

But then again, we have to have both in some genre. Because, take football for example, all arcade versions of it are pretty much Simulators that let you do only a few akward things (Gamebreaker). Football is an example of such a thig that can almost only be done in simulation, and whether simulators are boring or not, Racing sims need to add to the variety.

I really don't know why I'm rising to this bait, but buddy I've got (and play) most systems available. I don't have 360, it's true, but it either has nothing that I want and I can't afford another monthly Internet fee. Plus I have friends with the system for my occasional Halo fix.
So no, not a fanboy. I am just sick and tired of these topics. From here, GW, yahoo! Chat back in the day, or even that snot nosed Nintendo fanboy, back in highschool, who said the exact same thing you just did ( for psx), while I was sitting there playing GBA.
It's been said before and I'll say it again: just buy/play what systems have games YOU want / can afford. No system is better than the other. Stop this silly popularity contest.
