DOES ANYONE HAVE HOBBIES THESE DAYS?

Playing games and programming are my only hobbies.
Ergo, you are a bot. A smart one, but still, a bot. {JK}
Just moved and started my college semester, and so far, aside from studying, I've been spending my free time - an hour a day - on RPG Maker.
I'm sad. I'm trying to squeeze some running back in. And maybe FF13, but really, do I really want my time to be used for that?

I interview rockbands for different websites and go to a lot of concerts and sometimes parties. And for teh rest hanging out with friends and of course gaming/rmxp
RPGMing, Playing go, playing the piano, working out. And a lot of other stuff apparently, I should focus on a few and actually get better at them then to spread myself so broadly. But there's too much fun in the world, ahh... the woes of middle class.

bull. shit.
"A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects."

if you have a passion, that will obviously become your primary focus, but it's always good to know how to do a broad range of things.

this!
though a general lack of focus will lead to mediocrity. self-application is key.
Being exceptional at something requires some sort of specialization. Which is what I was referring to. The extreme case for this would be professionals that spend their lives specializing what they do. In terms of hobbies, this is less extreme, and you might be exceptional at 2 or 3 activities. Unless you are super human (pure natural talent in numerous fields, which most ppl don't have), you cannot expect to be exceptional at everything if your interests are too broad. Of course, you can be "good" at many things, but that was not the issue that I address.
Cooking! ^v^
Doesn't mean I'm very good at it tough. I'm bad when it comes to salty food, I like to bake cakes and sweets and sweeeets and sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeets.

Seriously though, I love this hobby. So much fun!
and having a tangible model makes it badass compared to cardgames.
I'm currently working on my Space Orks army, working between a Goff list and a Bad moon mechanized list.
ah the options with orks...I love it...
