HOW DO I MAKE MAPS LIKE THE WAY

The Way created images in a separate image editor, and then imported them into RM2k3. Then used the Panorama function to display the images in the background, and used invisible passable and unpassable tiles to dictate what parts of the map can be passed through.
Um, wait. What? Oh, like 'The Way'. Well, that was a mix of normal maps and panorama/parallax mapping.
Panorama maps you copy the picture you're using, making sure that it's the right size for the map you're using - gotta be divisable by 16 pixels both height and width. Paste it to the panorama folder, make the map in the editor show only the blank tile (usually pink - it's the background colour), then go to map Properties (right-click on the map name to the left) and choose your parallax - you need to click the 'Use Parallax background' button. Then just add events set to Same As Hero to stop the characters from going in certain spots. Mess about with it.
