The reason is nothing special, I just want to create a game with fantasy protagonists as well as a fantasy world (you see the grass, the flower and so on?). I'm aware of the fact that this is just their looking, not their acting, because most protagonists will act like normal humans. Nevertheless, that fits better into the setting.

LOL. "Feigenbaum"? Will it be a trashgame? Even if: The battle interface is boring. However, I can't remember any XP game with an interesting looking interface. So this is better thn standard, but still doesn't flash me.
WTF- a radioactive platypus?
And cilence, I personally think you ought to go farther than funny skin colors if you're going to have non-humans in your setting, but that's just me.

author=calunioA new horror adventure game?
cool

Ermmm... Not much to say. Because I'm crazy on aesthetics, I make my own chipsets. Unfortunately, I have looping issues. And I think the grass is too bright and the dirt looks ugly. But it's a start, I hope. =)
I like the bushes! Though the dirt and grass has some looping problems. It would be nice if the cliff edges (where it meets the grass) had some more curvature. There is a program floating somewhere on the forums where you can test loops.

But that chipset isn't really custom, it's mostly an edited version of Secret of mana chipset, with a super SAI filter or something like that, that explains the problems with the looping. I'm not really fond on how it looks though...

Lose the filter, they're all garbage and do a serious disservice to the pixel art medium.
Well yeah why do you think i posted the screenshot, bra.
No promises on when, but it is the only game I currently have in development that I promise I will finish.
(Oh, I'm sorry, am I allowed to post here without repasting Saya's image for the 50 billionth time. : P)

...It's not a filter. I just used SD3 as a reference while tracing and adjusting the lines a bit so I wouldn't have to do too much custom looping.
And I have absolutely no intentions of just using rips for my game. 1.) It's on RMXP and so the resolution isn't right, 2.) rips are illegal anyways.
