I love being able to work with better tiles. Auslen in Blackmoon Prophecy (left) and Blackmoon Prophecy II (right). Two of the top buildings are not shops, I just haven't gotten around to changing their signs.

Sweet! Reminds me of the good ol' Resident Evil doors, but slightly faster :P Nice job!
@yuna: Thanks! It is a bit cluttered yes, but sometimes I love clutter! At least to an extent; maps have to be easy to navigate.
Here's another one of mine:
A sweet riverside! I believe it's one of my first maps I ever mapped in ACE. I'm wondering if the tint needs to be darkened a bit or if it's fine. It's suppose to be a sunset going on ;)

Uhm, how did this happen! :/
EDIT: Might as well use this post to give UPRC a reply!
I really liked Auslen in BP, one of my favorite towns actually(probably because of the rain and the dark tint etc.) Its evolution looks fantastic! It has a more futuristic look now, which I think fits the atmosphere quite well. It also looks quite bigger!
How is the new tiles better to work with? The old BP ones looks much easier to map with in rpg maker, they just seem more accustomed to the program, if you know what I mean? I tested the BPII tiles to see if I could make you a town, but heck man, they were much harder to work around with than I thought! :O

Here's another one of mine:
I love the texture and style of these edits. Gives the visuals a more distinct flavor in contrast to many redundant VX projects. Really strong screenshot! ;D
These are from an old build of what I'm making right now. For a first actual project I think it's coming along alright.

Is that a Devil Summoner fangame, or just general SMT? You've really nailed the limited animation of Devil Summoner :D

It's more Digital Devil Saga, to be completely honest. I can't code for shite.
Devil Summoner was definitely what I had in mind when making this, though.
@FangStiltzskin: Nice shots! I like the mix of a pixelated BG and somewhat newer sprites! Gives me a 90's feel! ;)
@Blindmind: Thanks, man! Here comes one more! ^^
This is "The Great Wall"! I bet you waited for the "of China" part xD Yeah, I'm just messing around with mapping in ACE, filling some areas for a small world map I made. I might show that one next!

So, I just decided to see how this dungeon would look if I put all 7 current maps on the same map (there's going to be 8 maps total for this dimensional rift), and to see just how huge the dungeon would be had it all been on one map. Note, it's not complete 100% obviously, and I actually went back and fixed the bottom middle section so that it lined up exactly with the section to the right (you can tell which are the sections by the two Es in the top-left corners:
In retrospect, this place is pretty big. What makes it worse? There's no random encounters. You can't got to any area other than the area you HAVE to go to, and then after that you have to chase Gigglemesh around the map a few times before you have to take the teleporter found in the bottom center to the one area he's at, then go back to the first area with the stone and finish the dungeon there (there's random enemies on the map and at various events that you'll have to fight, and it'll be forcing you to use various characters in this section too, so it'll make sure to tell you to equip everyone and so on and so forth).

I am currently trying to re-think the light switch method. It is quite buggy with overlaying pictures, so I tried a tint-method. I might still use overlaying shadows, but the light switches won't be involved in it.
What do you guys think?

What do you guys think?

@Liberty: Thanks. I thought so, too. I'll change the intensity of the blue a bit.
Edit: Here's the bathroom, changed the tint a bit. Is it too dark?

author=UPRCBP II's Auslen isn't full of liars and random encounters is it? I'm impressed at how you recreated it.

I've got something to show as well that is not as focused on mapping as it is on some minor event systems that may remind one of Bioware or Telltale games.

Here I present options for Dialogue. Choices in blue are

Sometimes, you will get options outside of the purple choices.

An example of what could happen with a purple choice. Renier inspects his bounty.

Of course, some choices just don't matter in the long run even though if you've been silent the entire time, Renier will get called out on it if you continue not to speak.

You will even be able to improve or damage your relationships with your allies depending on your actions. Playing with the box will not be a good idea with your first ally who has the second worst defense stat. Renier is not a cat.

Hitting the SHIFT key when you are stuck or do not know what to do will let Renier remind himself of his task or converse with his allies on what to do next. Story progress is determined by a variable that changes for every time a task is completed. If he's been silent, these may be the only times Renier may speak when he has no comrades.
(Also as an aside, I may change the layout of the ship since I based it off a Material Quest ship but I changed around the upper layers. Ships are hard to map, RTP, REFMAP, or not.)

Here is a "favorite" item of mine, the Tome of Secrets. I say favorite since this is the closest to a CMS I will get. I'm more concerned with gameplay and story than anything else so I will not be using special graphics for this item. Renier's Tome of Secrets allows him the chance to view his standings with his allies or his. The bottom choice allows for cheat codes.
...
I'm not telling you any!

I'm not sure if I should be nervous or not, but I appreciate it! I don't have many areas yet so I won't have much for the required screenshots.
author=BlindmindI think you just solved my "Tropical Island" problem. If I make Tortura look something like that, it'll work; back to the drawing board!i feel like an old man
Yay for hard-drive recovery.
