RPGMAKER.NET NEEDS YOUR HELP!

If the event arises that a new server cannot be obtained in time, where can we all meet until then?
Will the entire site be archived offline or will every game and file have to be re-added by each user once more?

Ok what I'll do is I'll look into making a one-time donation once a month till I turn 18. Then I can get PayPal and have a reason for even having a debit card (on which they spelt my name wrong >:[)
I made the $5 subscription.
Considering how much time I spend on RMN a month, it's more than fair. :D

Our IRC channel, #rpgmaker.net on the dynastynet server.
Thanks for all your donations, guys.
So what do the donating users get out of this deal?Sounds awesome. Especially the date with kentona and the achievement which surely brings makerscore i hope. ;-D But how can you see who donated and how much?
- The satistifaction of helping keep rpgmaker.net alive for all users
- An achievement for helping to save rpgmaker.net
- Expanded locker space
- Custom user titles
- A date with kentona*
- Other (open to suggestions)
Individuals who select the recurring monthly sponsorship option will also receive:
- @rpgmaker.net e-mail address (if requested, as supplies last).
- Personal webspace on the new rpgmaker.net server.
- Google ads will be removed from view
- A 88x31 banner ad for the user's game will be placed in a rotation on the site
- Other (open to suggestions)
But what will help most? monthly payment or one single payment of a higher amount of money? i have a well paid job so i can give something.
I had the strangest dream last night that I got a PM from mikemc (of all people) saying that he was sitting on a 6 million dollar trust fund and that he was willing to dip into that to help sustain RMN.
It was very weird.
(I remember very specifically that it was mikemc and the $6 million figure.)

Recurring payments will help the most since they will stabilize the site finances for an indefinite period and not just today. However, I put the one-time donation option there because a) I know some people dislike remembering about recurring payments after it goes through their account and b) it gives more flexibility to the users to decide how much to contribute as opposed to the set $3/5/10 blocks.
Either way will be a great help!
Also, I am free this Friday. I enjoy movies and chocolates, and my favourite flower is the tigerlily. Pick me up at 8.

can we postpone it a few months? i still need my passport.
I'd donate if I wasn't poor.
I'm sure it's all backed up. The question is, are you keeping backups in case you can't access them if the site goes down?

The best case scenario is that the transfer will be seamless with only minor quibbles. Everything went fairly smooth when we transitioned from our own dedicated server to the UBM datacenter in 2009.

This. It's always better to be safe than sorry.
Holbert, will you post updates as to how much is needed to cover the server cost?
Also, have you considered cutting certain options to reduce the fees for hosting RMN?

Timing sucks. I donated more than I meant to towards JRDQ last weekend and I'm low on expandable cash for this month's budget. I'll donate but it probably won't be this month.
