I bet you own a 3DS and turned off the 3D capability because it was a "cool experience" that got annoying. All my friends have done this. :/
No I don't own a 3DS, but I'm pretty sure that if I did I'd turn off the 3d because I really hate 3d. (though I've only seen it in the cinema, maybe 3ds 3d is better somehow. Though I doubt it)
So Radnen... you call making a tablet a controller not innovative(whether you think it's good or not it's nothing like any other game controller) and then talk about how you want to see how the next-gen PS/X-Box "expand the playing field"... Maybe we'll get another box with prettier graphics, then eventual implementation of whatever Nintendo was doing years ago?

Chill out. You sound like a middle school console fanboy.

Yet... Stock markets show I'm with the majority on that one. :P
author=Shinanits not really. Its kind of a neat novelty for a little while, though. In the realm of the console games, making a tablet a controller is innovative. Yeah, it's something that's been done before (as in a tablet/iPad already exists), but to specifically integrate it with a home entertainment device is something that has yet to be done. This is really all innovation is: introducing a new element to something that that something did not previously have.
Also, innovations are not gimmicks. When some video game related innovation is introduced, bitches and bastards always have to call it a gimmick because it relies on new input methods that aren't buttons (and, honestly, people who complain about the touchscreen on the DS really shouldn't be complaining because of the aforementioned reason--the touchscreen is a button, just a larger one that can be pressed anywhere).
Really, it's sad when people complain about this--it's not a good thing to stay enclosed in your bubble and remain opposed towards change (especially when the change has proven successful).
And no, Radnen, I'm not referring to you...nor anyone else in particular here in the topic. Just tossing in my two cents.
