You can judge an entire profession by your own personal experience.
Psychology is way past the "I believe in it" segment. There's plenty empirical proof regarding a lot of its findings and applications. It doesn't mean every single psychology statement is automatically/scientifically true, of course. But disregarding the entire science/profession because of isolated cases is just plain dumb.
And that's also my non-rude version of it.

Professional athletes and hollywood actors are preposterously overpaid for how little they contribute to society.
Not a big fan of doctors either; if you really gave a shit about your patients, you wouldn't be on vacation nine months out of the year.

When you have too much friends, don't know who to hang out with. Though they are either too busy or don't give a fuck.
Nice to have a group of friends, but less at most, don't want to overcrowd.
Only works for family, as you don't care how much people come to visit.

Who will you invite to your wedding, the multitudes of people you got drunk with, played video games with, and just hung around over the years, or your true blue friends?

I....I do not do any of those activities with anyone but my close friends. Like, the number of people I get drunk and play videogames on even a remotely semi-regular with is almost the exact same number (and same individuals) I consider my friends (less than 10, usually) with an even smaller inner circle of 3-6 who I consider my closest friends. I'm generally a hermit and it's gotten worse since my girlfriend of five years has gone back to Colorado. Nobody ever calls me.
I have very few friends, and even less acquaintances.
