Ike (hit -1, dmg +2, evd -1, block +4 to chest, hands, and feet, block +3 to head, arms, and legs)
You thrust your longsword at barbarian 1 (hit-2, dmg+2, evd-1, block+1) and (6-1h+1e) drive it squarely through his (2) leg (4+1+2d-1b) and hit a major artery! He is bleeding heavily and is mortally wounded. He is unable to counterstrike or stand. He will probably die soon.

SlaveChild (-1 hit, +2 dmg, -1 evd, +2 block legs, +1 block rest)
You stab at barbarian 2 (1-1h+1e) and miss! Barbarian 2 is unable to counter or stand. (3) He has lost too much blood and passes out. Within a few seconds he dies anyway.

Ferdinand (-1 hit, +2 dmg, -1 evd, +2 block chest/arms, +1 block rest)
You whistle and call for your chickens. They (6) gather around you in a classic V strike formation! They will assist all attacking/defending maneuvers by providing you with +1 to all stats for 1 turn.

RabitZ (hit -1, dmg +2, evd -1, block +2 chest/arms, +1 to rest of body)
You throw your iron sword at barbarian 3 (-1h, +3 dmg, -3 evd, +1 block). The spinning blade (2-1h+3e)nearly misses but then strikes him in the (3) arm! The blow (3-1+2d-1b) cuts through a tendon disabling his arm! He is shocked and too far to counter-attack but is still dangerous.

Marrend (hit +1, evd +1, block -1)
You attempt to retreat to find a place to address your wounds (2) but do not see any place to go! Your arm is bleeding heavily and you feel light headed. You pass out but the blood continues to run from your arm. Each pump of your heart squirts the blood a little less far than the one before. Eventually the blood slows to a trickle. You have died. (rolled 1 for mortality check)

Cadeon (-1 hit, +2 dmg, -1 evd, +2 block leg/foot, +1 block rest)
You set loose Remington. He charges barbarian 3 (-1h, +3 dmg, -3 evd, +1 block) and attacks! Remington (1-3e) nearly misses but then clamps down on the barbarian's (6) neck! He rips at the barbarian's throat (6-1) causing heavy damage to the soft tissue. The barbarian is bleeding and may be mortally wounded. He is unable to counterstrike this turn and will suffer a -1 stat penalty to all stats for the next round. You follow quickly behind Remington attacking the barbarian 3 (-2h,+2d,-4e) with your axe and (6-1h+4e)land the blow squarely on his hand severing it from his arm!

LockeZ (dmg +3, block +4 legs/feet/hands, block +3 head/chest/arms.)
You watch as the last two barbarian's bleed to death on the ground. With all immediate threats eliminated, you go over to Marrend's corpse. You hold your torch to the body. (6) It is alight in a funeral pyre.

Barbarian 6 (-1h,+2d,-1evd,+1b) attacks Shortstar (-2h,-1d,-1b) with his shortsword and (6-1h) cuts deeply on Shortstar's (6)head. The blow (4+2d+1b) cleaves a large portion of Shortstar's skull spilling its contents onto the ground. Shortstar is dead. The barbarian sees that his companions have fallen and runs before the party can find him.

The battle is over!
Casualties on enemy side: All enemies are either dead or escaped.
Casualties on ally side: Shortstar and Marrend are dead.

Loot on the ground:
Dull axe (-1 hit, +1 dmg)
Large dagger (+1 dmg)
Large dagger (+1 dmg)
Metal helmet (-1 evd, +1 block to head)
Metal breastplate (-1 evd, +1 block to chest)
30 coins
torch
rope
Rations-bread

Once you are finished taking whatever actions you like in this area, continue to the small hamlet a few miles further down the road. There you will find the following:

An inn with a bar selling food, drink, and lodging for the following prices:

Supper with roasted rabbit, potatoes, bread and ale for 5 coins.
Mead for 2 coins per flask.
Bed for the night for 5 coins.

A smith's trading partner who will buy any good for half the store value. He has the following items for sale:

Warhammer
Iron spear
Morning star
Crossbow/Bolts

None of the items are class/job restricted anymore. Prices are the same as in the start town.

I add the torch to my collection. I would also like to use 2 coins from the pile on the ground to purchase a flask of mead, but keep it in my inventory for future use in fire-breathing tricks, rather than immediately drinking it.

Since it is only mid-day, I suggest that the party continue traveling. However, I will defer to Ike to make the final choice, as he is the knight-captain and our group's leader.

I also choose to contintue travelling, after everyone has done what they will in the town, we shall contintue.

I take and equip the metal Helmet that is on the ground.
Assuiming my squire can eqiup it, he takes the metal breastplate. and equips it of course.
And finally, i attempt to gather the dead. After putting out marrends fire.
Victory! And my chicken squad assembled. I'll take the ration-bread on the ground and share it amongst me and my chickens. They share an equal part in this win, despite fleeing a harmless barbarian's death flails. They are my family and I will take care of them.

Oh, while they're eating, I might as well attempt to loot Marrend's burnt remains.
I address my wound on my arm, cleaning it with fresh water from my waterskin and tearing a strip of cloth to bandage it. It is tender but it will heal.

I retrieve my great axe and put it back on the loop on my belt. I also grab one of the long daggers - I realized that I ought to have taken a one handed weapon with me from the getgo. I tuck it in my belt.

As designated merchant, I gather up the remaining 28 coins and place them in a new pouch. "I figure we should all eat a decent meal before continuing on our quest," I suggest.

Using the 28 coins, I attempt to negotiate a group rate for supper for the 6 surviving questers

"Does anyone want this axe I have? Otherwise I will attempt to sell it," I ask.

If no one in my party wants the axe, attempt to sell the axe to the smith

Finally regaining my breath after the battle, I look at my pig, hoping that his fate is better than the one of our fallen comrades.

I take the remaining large dagger from the ground. I also look for my Iron Sword, the one I threw at the barbarian (I am fairly certain I remember where it landed, haha), and equip it back.

I stare at Cadeon, trying to appear less tired than he. "Well, merchant, I would certainly welcome that meal you mention!" I say.

If I find my Iron Sword (I should!), I ask the smith trader if he can upgrade it for me, perhaps giving it some to hit or damage bonus. I attempt to negotiate for a price of less than 16 gold.

If he can't, I purchase a morning star (15 gold).
Of course, 20 gold is all have. I hope I don't have to spend it all.

If I have money left, I purchase 2 flasks of mead, and give my remaining funds to Cadeon.
LockeZ
You pick up the torch and two coins. Upon arriving at town you use the coins to purchase a flask of mead.

Ike
You pick up and equip the helmet (+1block to head, -1 evade). You also collect the breastplate and give it to your squire. He equips it as directed (+1 block to chest, -1 evade). You take Marrend's and Shortstar's burnt and battered bodies and lay them across your horse.

Ferdinand
You share the bread rations with the chickens. While they eat, you edge closer to the bodies on Ike's horse. You quickly survey them for any booty and find (2) nothing! Everything must have fallen on the ground when they died.

Cadeon
You take the large dagger and the coins. With the coins, you attempt to negotiate a group rate for the meal and (6) succeed beyond expectations! You were able to convince the keep to give the party the meal and bed for the night. You were also able to get the proprietor to include 2 drinks for each person (cannot take with you). You have successfully sold the dull axe for 15 gold coins!

RabitZ
You pick up the large dagger and your iron sword. You ask the trader if he can upgrade your sword. He apologizes and explains that he's a smith's trader not a smith but that he'd be more than happy to sell you a better blade. You purchase the morning star instead.

-

The sun is setting. Having paid for the meal already, Cadeon convinces the party to stay and eat. In the morning, they set out again.

-

The party travels the entire day before coming to the edge of the enemy encampment. You are on the North side of Fort Gregor; however, there is a line of 4 tents, a row of pikes in the ground, and a trench between you and the fort. The fort has high log walls that are tipped with sharp points. You can see a skirmisher posted in the rough nearby to your left and a knight yelling at a boy about a ram while a squad of 5 soldiers are trying to climb a ladder at the wall. None of them have seen you. It is still day but is drizzling and gloomy with no sunshine. The ground around the fort is slick with mud. It will be dark soon.

"Well, quickly looking, I would say this is a tough battle for us.
The only thing we have going for us is the element of surprise, so we better not waste it," I say to the other party members.

(We should discuss and come with a plan... Can we do that, Space_Monkey? Or do we have only one post each to submit our actions?)

yeah you guys can discuss it if you want.

If we can get past the four tents and the row of pikes without being detected, I have enough rope for us to be able to cross the trench, and I have enough torches to pass out among our party, which we can then use simultaneously on different spots along the outer walls of the log fort to set it ablaze. The bulk of the enemy soldiers are presumably inside, and setting fire to so many points at once would drastically lower their chances of escape.

However, we need a plan to get past the tents and pikes first: preferably completely undetected, but at the very least without alerting the rest of the soldiers within the fortress. Are the pikes something that could be safely bypassed if we were not under attack at the time?
Just a heads up before you burn the fort down. The guy in the starter town gave you guys the following info:

"Less than a fortnight past those goat-loving worms of Barata crossed the South'rn river and besieged Fort Gregor." He muttered pacing to and fro staring at the greenhorns. "We have lost contact with them." He was getting more agitated. "Our lord has kin in that fort!"

The tents of the troops trying to get into the fort are flying the Barata (enemy) flag. Your lord's cousin and his troops are supposed to be inside!

That said, burn it if you want to lol. I just wanted to make sure you guys knew what the situation was.

Hahaha. Okay. I didn't pay attention, I guess. I'm tempted to say "Kill 'em all and let God sort 'em out" but I guess as a hero I should complete our mission.

A similar plan might still work, we'd just be burning the tents rather than the fort. It would probably be much easier, in fact, since it only takes one torch to burn a tent, and there's nothing between us and the tents Although it's raining a little, I definitely have more than enough torches that most of them should stay lit.

Perhaps we can find a way to launch the torches at the tents from a distance. We don't have enough materials to construct a catapult, but perhaps torches could be carried and then dropped on the tents by flying chickens?

This would scatter any reinforcements from arriving, but doesn't do anything about the immediate threat of the soldiers scaling the wall. I'm at a loss as to how to deal with them. Maybe we could get close enough for RabitZ to smash the ladder with his morning star while they're still on it, which wouldn't really hurt them much, but would give us an advantage in the first round of the fight. Anyone have a better idea?
Well, while you all try to come up with any better ideas, I'll test out the torch-bearing chicken plan by attempting to tie a few chicken together to make a chicken flying fortress bomber.

I could send my pig first as a distraction!
Poor old piggie could be a sacrifice.

Or Cadeon could just shoot the top most soldier in the ladder and THEN
we charge and let the gods sourt our destiny.

I could send my SlaveChild as a distraction instead. But then we dont get bacon afterwards... And the nights will be lonely from then on...

But i dont know how well a distraction would work. Do we have any dinamite?/Ability to make dinamite/explosives... Suicide bomber pig...?

They already seem pretty distracted with their assault on the fort. I don't think we need any distraction other than sneaking up on them.

Fine Then.
I ask LockeZ to borrow one of his torches.

I will wait for any action Cadeon takes.
Then, if I have the torch, I will attempt to burn one of the tents (going on foot and as sneakily as I can).

If I don“t get the torch, I rush the skirmisher (riding atop my horse) with my morning star equipped.

EDIT: On second thought, for this turn, I will equip my Morning Star and place myself in defensive position, protecting Cadeon.

I rush the skirmisher on my horse. Slave child kinda just watches from afar. He is ready to fight if needed though.
