GRAND THEFT AUTO V

That's how I feel about Vice City vs San Andreas. Sure San Andreas is clearly a bigger game and better in half of the ways. But I guess a negative was the police missions being a lot more challenging (not in a good way). Radio stations were very normal and not crazy. The commercials were crazy. Cars felt better to drive because there wasn't a driving level up system.
You know... 3 people should get together to make an RPG. They each create 1 big town 3 small towns and 5 battle areas. Then call it RPG San Andreas... or something similar.

I didn't want to point this out because I thought it obvious...
It's NOT anyone from the GTA3 series (read: GTA, VC, SA, CTW, LCS, VCS)
GTA4 was unrelated to the GTA3 universe, it was its own thing. I bet you $5 that GTA5 will also be it's own thing.
Except it showed the 'Vinewood' sign. Which is in San Andreas, which is shown exactly how it was shown in that game. They aren't going to create a whole different universe like they did in 4, and show the exact same sign, in that game. They just won't do it.
More than likely they are doing a follow up game, trying to patch up parts from different games, story wise.
Whaaaaaaat?
They completely rebuilt Liberty City from the ground up for IV, even though they had a complete model of it from 3 and all the remakes of 3.
Why would they NOT do the same with Los Santos? I don't really understand what you're saying here, Thiamor.
All you're saying is they couldn't come up with a better fake name for Hollyweird than "Vinewood", really.

Whatever. Best bet is to wait and see, than to try to shoot down what I think, when the game isn't even out yet.
We're shooting down your idea because GTAIV already disproved it; hell, San Andreas AND Vice City were mentioned a lot of times in the GTA IV universe, so it definitely exists in the new timeline as well.
Different timeline/characters; same locations.
