HEY that's my Grand Theft Auto IV logo I made :-\. I am dying inside everyday I cant play this.. it's coming back with my Playstation 3 once repaired which should be around next week I think ;D

Well first I took a screenshot of a trailer when it showed the buildings in the "IV" then bordered it around the "IV" with that grey, THEN added the border, took a good 5 minutes to make that!! haha.

Not really. I haven't had time to play it that much! But since this is probably one of the biggest game launches in history I thought that someone should make a thread. I personally don't have much to offer quite yet other than that it's really good. One detail I've noticed is that everything in the game finally controls pretty well, so you aren't always wrestling with the controls and trying to have fun with the game in spite of them like you were with GTA3 and its mods.

I have never played a GTA game, and never had the desire to.

A buddy of mine actually stood in line for this one >.<. I got to play it, for oh, 2 or 3 hours, and I have to say that I'm not all that impressed. It has some great eye candy and it plays really smoothly, but I'm just not intrigued by any of the characters or any of the criminal elements. That said, I've been giving the same message since the first GTA. So, if you're a fan of the older games, chances are this is going to be your "greatest game ever." This one's not breaking my top 25 though...

Since when were game reviews credible sources? The user rating on the side, which has 10 times as many ratings is a 8.3/10. Granted, it might swing a point due to haters, but still. If last year proved anything, it was that game reviews were for sale. Half those sites have huge GTAIV ads all over their pages.

Yea but they don't count. Besides, all of this is based on hype, I heard this from my Nintendo pals that this is just GTA III.IIIII. Not even a full upgrade.
I played Vice City for a while because that was supposedly the best game ever

I'm probably a hater, but I think the series is boring. I think I got overwhelmed by killing people on the streets in the third one. I played that out so much I never bothered with the rest of them.

Aye, it was a commentary about Nintendo people and Brawl being Melee 1.5. (I have nothing against them and I love Smash).
Anyway I might get this at some point to see what all the GTA stuff is about, but not until a couple of years when the price drops, I can't afford it right now.

Yeah, i've got the game but i just don't like it that much. The graphics and such are pretty good but the rest just doesn't appeal to me. I too was sucked in by the awesome reviews IGN and such were given it.
