I haven't finished the game yet, but I'm planning to. I'm looking for some feedback on the current game (about 15-20 minutes). This is my first RPG so don't expect some super detailed amazing game.
Is Dark Matter trying to take over Dreamland again? Or maybe it's someone - or something else... Join Kirby and his friends as they go on an RPG styled adventure to find out who they're dealing with, bring Dreamland back to it's former glory, and defeat the enemy once and for all!
The abilities in this game are actually items that enemies drop instead of Kirby eating the enemies. I am planning to make different sprites for each of Kirby's abilities, but for now, I'm just going to leave them as items you can equip.
The thing I had the most problems with is probably the dialogue. I didn't want it to be too cheesy (it probably is...) and I wanted to have a good humor to seriousness ratio (and there's probably too much humor).
I really hope the game turns out enjoyable!

mmmmm bug kirby move that causes party to have attack and defense doesnt it the allies it hits the bad guys lol so they get attack and defense

also you can get infinite gold in green greens cove the gold that gives 100 will keep giving 100
Kirby.... so greedy.... taking ALL the gold... (I'll fix it too :) )
ok so i beat the demo it was fun alright so tips and pointers why do all the random encounters stop after you get to the first town also i hope to see that kirby ability changes his stats based on the form he is in other then that the game is fun good luck i hope to see it completed
oh and if you leave the first town and reenter the cut scene will play out again also you cant enter the item shop in the second town it just kicks u right out lol and i think kirby and bw dee level ups should be different but that will most likely happen in the full game

Thank you so much for playing the game! I'll try to improve based on what you said.
I'm planning to do more with the abilities but for now it's just skills.

Hi! I played through what you have so far and it's... ridiculously cute. I laughed out loud a few times playing, too (I CAN'T BELIEVE I DOOMED ALL OF DREAMLAND). It's just genuinely charming!
Outside of the bugs that Devante511 mentioned, I encountered a few little glitches:
•Much like the infinite gold, you can get I N F I N I T E C H E R R I E S in Kirby's house. But since you can't reenter, I'm guessing it's either intentional or just a cute fun thing for the beginning.
•You can actually leave Bandana Dee hanging outside Kirby's house. If you go to either side after he talks to you, you can walk back that same way around him and into the next map.
•IF YOU SAY NO TO BANDANA DEE, THEN "WAIT I'LL COME", HE WON'T JOIN YOUR PARTY ;_;
•Conversely, if you do have Waddle Dee join right away, he will still do "hey Kirby, over here!" even when he's behind you.
•There's a couple typos! In the "no -> WAIT NVM!!!!!!" branch, Bandana Dee will say "bid" instead of "big", "It wasn't Dark Matter aft-" it cuts off the words here!, "things" instead of "Dark Matter doesn't turn thing purple," and "Defense" is spelled wrong in the "Defense Bandanna"
•I know the graphics are placeholders so it might change with the full version, but you can actually walk on the walls of the buildings...!
Your writing of Sassy Kirby feels a lot like the Kirby's Avalanche characterization and that alone makes me smile. Also... Keeby with the little star decoration head things looks super cute!
