Cardinal rules for grammar in the Morvani language: The rules I have created and am following in order to build the syntax. There are many guidelines, but these are the specific rules I've set that cannot be disobeyed in the construction of the language.

• Rule 1: The subject always starts the sentence.
• Rule 2: All parts of the sentence service the subject.
  
• Rule 3: The subject of the sentence is always determined by the point of view of the speaker. Example: in the story, Elkyuru makes the following statements: Elda uvey coluhmeh? Coluhmeh elde ati. The meaning is, "Are you alone? I am alone." Obviously, the subject in the first sentence is "You" while the subject in the second sentence is alone. This is because, in the question, she's asking of "you" and in the second sentence, "alone" is the primary descriptor of her personal condition. From Elkyuru's point of view, alone is a better descriptor of her than any personal pronoun.

• Ach = I, Me, We, Us
  
• Ati = Modifies Ach. Basically, mine, my, ours, etc.
  
• Ava = God, nature, blessings: a very broad and sweeping word. To be understood, it needs to be heard in context.
  It is the root of a plethora of words.
  When someone says Ava, it commonly means one of the following: Thank you. Good luck. Get well. Don't worry.
  When someone shouts Ava, it means "I am blessed".
  
• Avey = Hello. Literally, blessings to you. Roots: Ava and Voh/Uvey.
  
• Ati matti = My name is.
  
• Avels = Health/wellbeing. Root is Ava.
  
• Ada = Person
  
• Ada toh? = toh means new, so the exact translation would be New Person, but it means, Do I know you?
  
• Aht frolli ka = I do not understand. Literally: I lack comprehension.
  
• Avo = Ah-ha/Ah/Oh/Wow. The Ava root shows up yet again.
  
• Aluway = to act
  
• Aluway uvey = What are you doing? Literally: Your action is?
  
• Avesta = Boat/ship/vessel.

• Colusti = I'm sorry.

• Kish = Glass. A number of words are named because of the sound the object makes (in this case, breaking glass). I took this idea directly from the Ancient Egyptian language.

• Lusa = World/planet

• Morva = The name of Elkyuru's home planet.
• Morvani = The name Christina and humans use to describe Morvani culture, society, and language.
  
• Mihu = To know
  
• Mihu ka ati = I don't know. Literally: I lack knowledge.
  
• Meh ta = "what" as a question.
  
• Meh tavels ni = How are you? Literally, what health is it?
  
• Meh ta estran ko ni toh? = What is going on? Literally: What newness presents itself?
  
• Meh dva = what danger/plight.
  
• Mako = Bad noise. Could be loud. Could be too soft to hear. Could be creepy. It depends on context.
  
• Mat = Name. Note that when saying my name or your name, name also has to be modified. "Mat" applies only to inanimate objects. Living beings must be referred to by "matti".

• Nilus = As Mars is to Earth, Nilus is the nearest planet to Morva.
• ni = it. Notice that this appears to be the root word of Nilus. This is not coincidental.

It is organized as a reference I need to write the dialogue for Elkyuru and to construct the learning process for Christina in a believable way.
