Updated Download: Working Beta & Ep1

- Various bug fixes with lights and shadows.
- Fixed a few errors with some random battles not happening correctly.
- Additional Script work.
- Edited some monster types, making certain parts of the game easier and less of a headache.
- Corrected a few NPCs appearing before they should.
- Corrected a few incorrect lines playing when they had no business doing so.
- Corrected a number of bugs with the four big war battles.
- Side note here: On any war battle that you need to get to a certain location, that will be marked with a arrow on the map.
- Corrected a number of errors in the final maps of the first world.
- Reworked some text to better convey the story. This changes none of the actual story.
- More text options, interactions, and npc sayings based on your actions have been added.

Suikoden Stories - Current Patch

This will, from now on, be the main download for the game, containing everything that is in the current patch notes. Also from now on, any additional patch note changes will be for "current patch download".

Suikoden Stories - Working Beta

This is the download to the working beta of the game. It is updated mostly every day (or weekly) and has anything new that was worked on. There will be no active patch notes for them, as changes are made frequently. Also keep in mind, content may and will stop suddenly as the area/map/story/episode/etc is not done yet.

As you may have noticed, the file has been updated a few times this week with various fixes and corrections. This is based on feed back and changes I wanted to do for a while, just didn't have time to do.

Changes:
- Added addition story lines, different ways to get some A to B.
- Additional endings based on the above.
- More possible uses of the reset button.
- Realizing sarcasm doesn't always translate well, changed up some lines to better convey the story. Also I gave the main character a thing he always was suppose to have.

New Patch: Please read!

Super Important:
~ HELP!
It says no menu is available anymore! That is because the menu has been updated with a lot more options and had to be redone. The menu will trigger normally with a new game, but for people with old save game files well that would be a problem now wouldn't it. The easiest way I found to fix this for everyone is to get into a random battle, finish it, and the menus will be restored. Afterwards, you can use the Dev:Version fix to unlock all menus.

In Short:
- Get into a random battle
- Wait 10 seconds
- Use item Dev:Version Fix to any problems with save game files.

~ To activate tester events and items, remember use type in name Tester as a hero. You can rename him right after.


World 1:
- Did a number of fixes in the "game room" that would slow the game down. If you are still here, walking into the office room and out, will reset everything.
- A number of new endings have been added into the game based on player feedback and "rules of cool"
- Cleaned up a number of text sections in the intro area to better reflect the story, why this or that is happening, and cut down and unnecessary "fluff" text.
- Fixed a number of errors that would prevent/make appear characters and npc at the wrong times.
- Additional story threads have been added to account for the possibility of killing various stars. Also, tempered fate can now drop off anything (low rate) to account for the 500% increase in use of them. Meaning, nearly every screw up that can happen, can be fixed.
- A number of new instances related to the hidden morality meter have been added. One example is when you get the free rune in Snowy Hill. It may change if you are a good or bad person...
- A number of streamlining and quality of life changes have been made to various quests.
- Fixed a LOT of areas to prevent lagging.
- Fixed a number of errors that would cause the cooking npcs not to work properly.
- Did some balancing on enemies and did some adjustments. Also corrected an error with a tree you fight. HP was WAY to high.
- Remove the rune forge for now, it will now be introduced in the world two thanks to a character you can recruit.
- Assigned proper music to the final boss battle of Cthulhu world.



General:
- Added a disclaimer at the beginning of the game, because some people are just dumb.
- In order to make things a bit easier on everyone, if you successfully recruited everyone from a world, a gold star will appear above it in the shatter world, world map.
- Added a quest log that will keep track of what you are doing and should be doing.
- Entire first world is under the new quest log system.
- Also added a full screen mode that should work with all types of video cards.
- Ok OK! After many requests, you can pet the cats and dogs!
- You may also notice it takes a few extra moments loading a save game. There is a script running in the background to make sure old save game files don't freak out with all the changes. You can also just start a new game if you want to avoid any problems.


Actor:
- Additional unite attacks have been added into the game.
- Also, various unite attacks can be learned over time, by having certain characters in your party over time (example: hero and Sean).
- Tenkai has a new (and much better) special ability "Many Faces". It allows the hero to shift into an elite version of himself and adds a buff fitting for it. Once this ability is unlocked, you can visit the save point to learn more about the other versions and what they can do in battle.

~ added a new story thread that plays out in the first world.

~ More cooking items have been added to the game.

My big point of this game, is that it is telling a story, but each person's story can be a little different, or just go crazy all together. So, let's say you got captured by the bad guys, are you are presented with three options, but can think of another. Let me know! If it's good, Ill program it in!

Next Patch, Next World

Been working on the next section of the game, based on Scientology and crazyness they do. So far we got:



Previous Area bug fixes/changes:
- Assigned proper music to final boss battle of Chthulhe world.
- A lot of additional text was added in the case of certain two stars being killed. This does not change the story, just the lenght and what you know in certain events.

With the next update, you can expect a new hero ability.

Special Ability: Many Faces

- Chance on any attack to shift into an alt version of self to gain higher (and appropriate) attack power.


So for example, if you use a basic (physical) attack, you can shift into a physical attacker with a nice attack power bonus.
