A Thief's Voyage:


An easy classic RPG with a sideview battlesystem, lots of character development
and a solid story.
Using the power of the RPGMaker VX Ace engine, parallax mapping, scripting and
all in eventing soup, which makes this game a true adventure.
A game to remember!

The story takes us to "Link Haven", the town where our hero grew up and developed into a strong and helpful thief.
The arrival of 2 Obsidian Order members get the story rolling as the party needs to collect the Water Crystal from a nearby dungeon.
This is where the story and plot picks up quickly and our adventure to save the world commences.
It will take you beautiful places and scary dungeons.
Even a world beneath the waves awaits you, or should I say: treasure awaits you.



Characters:


Jake - Thief - Dual wielding knifes.
Born in Link Haven, raised to be very helpful.


Brenda - Archer - Bow or Boomerang.
On a mission from the Obsidian Order to collect the Water Crystal.


Nathalie - Mage - Staff.
Brenda's elder sister, white and black magic user.


Warren - Samurai - Katana.
A Samurai who is helping a friend to save her brother from his kidnapper.



Extra's:


I this game a added a lot of extra stuff, like a bard's game, trophies, statistics, battle voices, parallex mapping and a lot of eventing.
Bonus stats is a nice feature, also stat-leveling armor pieces.
Also a lot of detail, like the buildings on the worldmap make almost a 100% image of the town.
Hard work? Yes, but couldn't leave it out.




Battle System:


The battle system isn't unique, it's sideview but it has a twist.
It's possible to gain Extra Attacks or an additional cast as you do battle.
Also using a skill a lot can lead to learning new skills.

Is it an easy game?
It's not a hard game, but it's a game to be enjoyed.
Hope you may enjoy it as much as I did creating it.

Completed the game today.

*Open to suggestions, feedback, remarks, anything actually*
I may have found a bug. I get a black screen when I come out of the fire cave although the music is still playing, would love to continue playing. Also the game just suddenly closes on occasions so I have to save every 5 fights.

You were right, Mimella, there was a bug indeed.
There wasn't a fade in screen in the event.

I have updated both downloads (with and without RTP).
Putting your save game in the updated version should fix your problem.

This I don't know why this is happenening.
As you do battle, the characters gain points for their actions and get upgraded.
I'll try to look more into this problem.
I do understand that this takes away to flow of the game.

It works now but have found another bug in the mystic caverns L3 - the green skeleton (boss) will not attack when you approach him.
Will let you know if I find any others.
It's a great game and if the only problem is it closing down suddenly I can live with that.
Found another bug in Skycity martial arts school when you answer the master and start to fight.
Error line 3462 no method error undefined method for nil:NilClass

Im in the frozen cavern part where you have to pull the switch and a 5 second times starts to get across the bridge. I have tried so many times and cant do it, is there a trick to doing it? Also how do I download the updates? I am really enjoying the game. One suggestion would be for when you upgrade brenda for it to upgrade a atat that it would update all the orbs you have for that stat on one pull.

I'm happy to read that you are enjoying the game this much.
About your question, you need to RUN if you want to make it.
Clear those 2 or 3 enemies that are in the way, and run.
You can do it! Remember, don't use fire there :)
The updated version will be uploaded soon. Still have to fix a few bugs.

About your suggestion, I'll have to look into that.
I preferred it to be one at a time, I didn't stack up on those items,
Just used it when I could, but it's something to into account.
I did add those green orbs to clearify the upgrades that can be done.


I upgraded it to use all the items in your inventory.

Thanks for the new update for brenda, also, when I go to items and choose mana flask it wont let me scroll to pick a character to use it on, the other ones all work okay. I finally got across that bridge, I did have an issue where the bridge disappeared when I was in the middle of the bridge and I was froze there and had to restart the game.

I didn't use fire in frozen hollow, I am still completing it. I am a 53 year old grandmother who loves these types of games. I am really enjoying your game, the bridge timer thing I almost gave up, I asked my grandson to do it for me but he said grandma if I do it for you how will you ever learn to do it yourself LOL.

the bridge timer thing I almost gave up

Wait till you get to the Tower of Azkhetete.

Thanks for fixing the earlier bugs but now the Sky Town island map has disappeared and is showing dots, water, the landing door and part of the castle.
The same error for the sensei in Sky Town also appears for the Sensei in Dymio.
By the way I have yet to find any puzzle pieces.
If I re enter the inn in westville it says extra level up with pull levers but you are frozen in place and can't move so you have to reload the game.
Just found another mapping issue at Apache Hideout. There are black squares instead of the house. It was OK before the last update. I too had the problem in Westville Inn with the extra level up and reloaded the game.
