Hello everyone. Previously, the version of Noel and the Tower of Doom on RMN was highly outdated, being the 1.0.1 release rather than the up-to-date v1.2.3 release. The v1.2.3 release fixes a TON of things about the game including numerous game-breaking glitches. Well, those have now been fixed, but the game still is broken in numerous ways. For example, the boat segment near the end of the game is un-completable, making it impossible to climb to the final floor. This is frankly unacceptable and I should be better than that. This is what happens when I don't playtest games, which thankfully has been mitigated with CM as a now have a team of playtesters to help me fix bugs. The only thing left to do to fix the game is play through the entire game myself, fixing the last couple of bugs found on the upper floors and the true ending. I already have a save file very late into the game, so I just need to hanker down and actually play my own game to completion to fix all the bugs. So, as of now, the game is still broken, but is fully playable most of the way through. Please be patient on the 1.3 update as I am in college and am mainly focused on CM at the moment. Thank you.

Hello everyone. I am proud to announce that after a long, challenging 6 months of development, Noel and the Tower of Doom is finally finished! Originally just supposted to be a small-scale project to celebrate pride month that would take at most a month or two to come out, the project ballooned in scope to encompass a 10+ hour long RPG with 12 unique endings, 60+ floors of dungeons, over 20 different boss encounters, and a lot, and I mean a lot, of dialogue. But, against all odds, I actually managed to finish the game in it's entirety, and now it's avalible for everyone to play with it's base 1.0 release! I will most likely release a small update in the coming weeks that, among other things, will lower the file size dramatically as well as fix some known visual bugs. Other than that, the game is fully playable from beginning to end including the secret route and all 12 possible endings!

(Christmas 2014) Now that Noel and the Tower of Doom is 100% complete, I can move development back to Chronicles Meteorfall, which during the time I was working on NToD I finally came to a conclusion of what the final mechanics of the game would be and what I would do to accomplish them. Get excided, because at long last Chronicles Meteorfall will come next year after a long, long 5 year development cycle!

Hello everyone. I would like to give a status report on the progress of this game. Originally, I wanted to get this game finished by the end of September, September 30th to be exact. However, with it now being September 29th, it seems like a full release by the end of tomorrow will be impossible. However, I am extremely close to finishing the game. The problem isn't that I think it won't get done in two days, the problem is that I don't think I'll be able to both finish the game and playtest the game fully while fixing all the bugs. Here is the current progress:

Hello everyone! Tonight I would like to update you all on the state of this current project. Good news, I have finished the final boss sequence and ending! I still have to implement the secret bosses, the secret area, and the bad endings+true ending, but otherwise I'm nearly done! I'm pretty much at the finish line for this project overall. This is what I plan to do in the coming days/weeks before the end of this month:
1: Create the secret boss scenarios and fights. 50% done since I have all the skills, states, and AI already done, I just have to implement them.
2: Add in the remaining "bad endings." So far I have programed in two bad endings, the one where you get crushed by the crusher in the NEVI Storehouse and the one you get for killing Zed. The other ones I need to add in are the one you get for ignoring Goliath and entering the tower of doom without him, the one you get by losing to the final boss, and the ones you get for losing to each of the secret bosses.
3: Add in the secret final area along with the bosses there.
4: Create true final boss scenario. I already have the relatively complex boss AI pattern down so now it only really comes down to implementing it and adding dialogue.
5: Create the true ending cutscene.
6: Create the two alternate bad endings linking to the true ending route, one for dying to the true final boss and the other for attempting to fight the true final boss without obtaining all the secret reports.
7: Add in the final secret.
8: Playtest the game completely from beginning to end, fixing any glitches I come across along the way.
9: Transcribe the entire script onto Google Docs and run it through Grammarly to check for errors.
10: Release the finished game
So, what's next after Noel and the Tower of Doom? Well, my main priority afterwards is to do a quick final update for my previous game, Chronicles: The Lost Page, as that game recently got a review and I want to fix some of the issues the review brought up such as the lacking movesets, too many elements, tutorial spam early on, some minor bugs, and some of the dialogue being hard to understand. It's also a good chance to refine the final boss Karakal since I made a new design for him for art class that inspired me to rework his largely lackluster moveset into something a bit more unique.
After that, I'll go back to developing Chronicles Meteorfall, the game that has been in development hell since all the way back in 2019. Remember when that game was called Meteo Chronicles and was supported to release in Summer 2020? Yeah, that didn't happen due to a bunch of repeated errors and now I'm remaking the game from the ground up. Meteo Chronicles was more so a proof of concept than anything else. Chronicles Meteorfall will be the real deal, and will probaly release in late 2024.
This game has been a long journey and a much larger undertaking than I expected. I originally planned for this game to only take about a month or two to finish so I could get it out by the end of pride month, but the project ended up being far more ambitious than planned even after heavily cutting down in content. Did you know that the tower was originally supported to be 255 floors AND have double the bosses? Yeah, that would have been torture to make and probaly not be nearly as good as what I ended up making. After CM it's on to finish the rest of the Crimson Meteor Trilogy in RPG Maker, both the reimagined versions part of the Chronicles of Chronicles continuity and the semi-faithful remakes of the games the reimaginings were based on, Zero Gear Fighters and Dragon Ascension. There's so many more games I have planned in the future, but those will have to wait for another time. Anyways I'm so excided for what the future holds for my games and I hope you are all excided for the full release of both Noel and the Tower of Doom and Chronicles Meteorfall! Good news! This game, Noel and the Tower of Doom, is nearly complete! I only have 10 more floors to make, and then it's off to doing the battles, cutscenes, and endings. If my pace keeps up I'll probably have the game done in a week or two. I'm very excided to share the finished product with all of you! The demo is out, so you can try the game up to the first 10 floors of the main dungeon to get a taste of the game before the complete package releases next month. Stay tuned for more updates. Hello everyone. I haven't posted on here for a bit, however, I have made progress on Noel and the Tower of Doom. Currently the game is fully playable up through Floor 20, with the layouts and gimmicks of each floor done up through Floor 46. I am skipping the enemies, bosses, enemy skills, and cutscenes until I finish making the layouts for all 66 floors. Afterwards, I'll make the enemies, enemy skills, and bosses, and then the cutscenes and story stuff. Good news, I'll most likely have this game done by the end of this June, perfect timing for pride month! After that I'll get back to work on Chronicles Meteorfall, and I have a bit surprise in store regarding that game. Stay tuned!

v0.2 Is Out! Bugs fully fixed!

Version 0.2 is now out which fixes the bugs found in the 1.0 release including game-breaking ones. It also makes a few minor changes to the gameplay as well. This will be the final version of the demo until the full release happens. Now this time the game should actually be playable. Enjoy the game!

-Added new OST to the black market.
-Changed the boss theme.
-Removed autosave as it caused issues with progression.
-Updated the iconset.
-Rebalanced all enemies.
Bugfixes
-Fixed bug where a popup would appear every time you open the game.
-Fixed bug which would cause you to become stuck on the college roof without a way to get out.
-Fixed various spelling and grammar errors.
-Fixed bug where the arts for later classes would be entirely free.
-Fixed bug where certain divine arts would be avalible early.
-Fixed bug where enemies would not grant JP.
-Fixed bug where going into a shop would crash the game.
-Fixed bug where the sign outside the storehouse could not be read.
-Fixed game breaking bug which caused the game to go black after the cutscene with Noel's father.
-Fixed game breaking bug where the game would crash when accessing the basement of Noel's house.
-Fixed bug where the journal could not be used.
-Fixed bug where over 4900 unused items would appear in the weapon and armor sections of the journal. This was due to Yanfly's unique
items plugin, so I set the ID where the unique items start at 50 (there are 48 weapons and 36 armors, never gets to 50 for either of them)and added blank skills up to 49 and give them the "do not show" marker. That fixed the issue.
