Rubi is a young girl who, upon playing hide and seek, gets lost and has a Firey red dog lead her back home. The dog wants to show her something, leading her to find frozen spirits around, and her suddenly having the power to unfreeze them using fire power.
This is a 2015 remake of the Rubi 3 day contest game for the 2011 RMN Weekend Gamemaking Binge event, that ended up never being released. I thought about it, realized preservation is important, and decided it should be uploaded.

CloseI only had a really small chance to play a small bit of this 2015 revised edition,
so I can't comment on much. But from the small amount of bit that I did play the new animations are really good in this.

Game preservation is something I think highly of, so I appreciate you uploading this game to the site for everyone to see and enjoy.
this is finally out ToT thanks Ocean!!!! Working on this was an absolute delight and it remains one of the favourite things I've ever done!!!!
I really recommend playing the original Rubi and playing this one (in either order), though they're closer together in release date than this is to 2023, it's not everyday you get a remake like this of a 2k3 game (on 2k3!)
It's lots of vibes. Ocean is great at vibes. And it's a small, self-contained game that knows it's small and self-contained, much like Mystic Sunrise. It takes a level of control and vision I've yet to grasp to achieve this.

It's interesting that it's from 2015, It is a bit sadder tone and I think I was probably more depressed that year judging by this! I may put up a blog post talking more about the dev process and maybe why it took so long for me to finally get around to posting it but thank you all for the comments!
