Belated state of things

Hey there, belated news. Sadly not the best.

First off to pad things up a little, happy holidays everyone, hope things are going well for you all and stuff.

So here is the story, and it might be a curse for putting it in the vaporware uh thing. Tl;dr game is lost, my SSD died.

I'll take this time to do an important PSA. BACKUP YOUR GAMES. Sadly my SSD had been faulty pretty much since it got bought (?), I didn't think much of it, had been more than a year since I got it and then decided to die in the middle of trying to get something done for the uhh event I forgot what the event was called the 2k3 one.

Tried multiple things to see if I could restore any files, but maybe I f-ed up at some point but yeah, wasn't able to. Lost some other stuff too but that's not relevant for this gamepage (?), another project I liked how it was going, and a bunch of plugins for MZ I was doing along with that project. Fuchs.

There's a heavy sense of uh what's it called? Loss? Heh. Love that word. Anyway, it's not an impossible game to redo, but it'd take energy mostly out of the feeling that I've done this already. Mostly fiddling again with Maniacs is what is gonna feel like a PITA bread in the ass.

I'll let you know if this goes somewhere someday again. But till then, I say laters, got other gams to mak. HEY NO I'M NOT GOING ANYWHERE U FUK.

See ya around!

PD.: At least some of the rips from the PS1 RM are still in Discord, thank god I shared those with frens lol!

Please tell me this isn't vaporware because I really want to play this.
I'm trying to not make it vaporware, however the existence of the gampagg+screens at least gives me chance for the consolation makscor xD.

I'm curious about this as well, because I see hachiko I've seen the legit gameplay(light puzzle, dialogue and etc) but the completion date is N/A
Just wanna make this clear for anyone who wondered what happened with this,
you can read it in the blog post above:

Way/Spell was originally going to be for the Boulevard of Broken 2k3 Dreams event.
But while working on this, orochii's SSD harddrive stopped working suddenly, and it had failed and he didn't back it up, etc.

...It's kind of rough to talk about, cause Way/Spell looked really promising. When November rolled around. I asked what games had cool gamepages. kiyasu had a really cool one. but it was set to "commercial" which made it ineligible for 2023. So I put my nomination down for Way/Spell instead.

I think Way/Spell has a very nice, simple, gamepage. It's very minimal, but very strong in it's execution. It looks like a living, breathing jrpg menu from the 2000s. It's inviting, yet, at the same time, not too distracting - a great example that should brought up, any time, when talking about good gamepages on RMN, if you're ever thinking about wanting to draw more attention to your game. I love it.

Wish we could've seen more from 2023.
