Announcement

Game complete!

Things have been a little crazy, and I might not quite be out of the woods yet. Still, after adding more content, then doing what additional playtesting and bug removal I can, I think I can call this...

COMPLETE!

The complete version has been set as the main download. If you're curious, you can still access the old demo either on the download tab here, or on the event page for Wonderful World.

It's still very early in the year, and while Misao nominations aren't available yet (I hope they will be soon), I would absolutely appreciate nominations for at least the How the Hell Did They DO That!? Award.

Progress Report

Demo available!

I've uploaded a version of the game complete up to the "waterfall hike" map, as indicated by this image. Life is getting a little messy, so, I don't know what kind of time I'll have to work on this between now and the end of the Wonderful World event, while also attending to my other projects.

That aside, from the point where this release ends, the game can probably go in a number of directions, but, my thoughts are centered on two. The one I'm tending more on is having the party caught and thrown into a jail, only for them to escape again later. The other idea also involves the party being caught, but, are let go for one reason, or another. I'm having a bit of a hard time coming up with said reason, hence, the other idea getting more weight/thought into it.

At any rate, the general flow of the game would be to get players to a more open environment to explore and do quests in. Let the player really get a feel for the renown the Silver Maiden would have in this world. This decision might be somewhat inspired by my current playthrough of The Witcher 3 - Wild Hunt, but, I would also reference the later Might and Magic games (6, 7, 8) in this regard. The way the maps are strung together are certainly taking inspiration from World of Xeen the older Might and Magic games than anything else.

Then again, the Wonderful World event ends in about a week. So, maybe I have to reel back these ambitions, and refocus what efforts I can give to this game into making the best event game Misao I can, given what time I have left!
