Pending acceptance.
As has been stated many times, old save games cannot be imported into this version, so people who played previous versions will unfortunately have to start over. But from here on I shall strive to keep old save games compatible with each new installment. And there are a few new surprises in the early chapters anyway.
I played through the entire thing twice to root out problems. But sometimes even that is not enough. ;_; If it still crashes, I am sorry. Of course, if it crashes during World Generation, you can just start the program over and chances are it won't crash the next time.
I pass on this lesson: when programming a game, never implement your database at the code level. Always make an editor that protects against typos and syntax errors. All the event triggering in this game is done with code, and sometimes it hurts. It hurts so very very much.

So is this the complete game? Or a more complete demo?
Will probably play this either way because new game by the maker of The Longing Ribbon oh my god

I am the worst gamer ever. I'd completely forgot that was coming out.

Well, a more complete demo basically. It's only chapters 1-3.

Script 'Z - TaskExecutor 1' line 1069: NoMethodError occurred.
undefined method `dispose' for nil:NilClass
Got this following a crash when I tried to use a psionic power. Specifically the one that doubles melee damage.

Dropping in mid-play to say, I'm 3hrs 20 minutes in and I am enjoying this a tonnnneeee.
(shotguns are still broken though :P (I think anyway ._. now I can repair one but it thinks it has no ammo until I unload it and then reload it and even then it only fires the first round before going back to saying that there are no rounds loaded despite there being a big "3" over the icon, I tried this with purchased ammo too, same result :< Unless I'm missing something to do with the shotgun having a fancy reload or something? :s))
Edit: All of the above still stands :> But I return with screenshots of things that seemed wrong or bugged or something. None of this stuff has so-far disrupted my enjoyment of the demo or anything so it's nothing terribad :>
Possible Spoilers?
Also.. No game-crashing bugs on this playthrough yet! :D

IT BEGINS. :| But this was a quick fix. Please download this file and replace the one in your game folio: http://rpgmaker.net/users/Gibmaker/locker/Game.rgssad

Er, ah, are you loading it during combat? In combat you can only load 1 shell per turn.

Thank you, I'll get back to it in a moment. I forgot to mention, though-
Evan has like 2 wield, yet the game always claims he has 0.
And maybe I'm just ridiculously unlucky when it comes to rolls, but he nearly always misses at full mind points at a 75% hit chance.

Maybe I just don't know how to shotgun D: also /me points up at updated post :>
Oh. HA HA HA HA HA. Well with the Medkit, the choice is between Medical AND Operate 0, or not medical but a higher roll. There is a bracket there (that totally blends into the left border)
And you can fix the shotgun thing by just staring at the screenshot and hating it. Yes, really. BAH, those shotguns.

I swear, it's really randomizing based on the stated number. D:
Oh derp, I see the medical thing now, my bad.
Breaking news :>
*Shotguns are functional so long as you manually use them from the inventory every time you wanna fire them. So it's just an issue with the weapon-selection sub-menu apparently.
*Got my first game crash due to a missing weapon graphic when attempting to use the overcharge on the laser pistol.
* All my ranged weapon checks show up on the criteria checker/dice roll as being rolled against "Wield 0" despite that my main character has wield 2/3 iirc (and you need at least wield 1/2 for some of the weapons). Also I have like 60-90% (depending on the weapon) so I'm guessing that's purely cosmetic.
* There are various interface border issues that are pretty minor (or that I just attributed to the game not being finished yet), but I noticed them especially on the memos/logs that appear large and center-screen, especially early on in the game, and sometimes the inventories when varied in size can get a bit all over the place.
* Using things directly with A is brilliant. Would you consider extending the function to the player's own inventory? Also it's a shame there's no way to quick-use "loose" items such as those dumped in a room for item management reasons. Also it would have been great if somewhere in the game mentioned the "getting ammo out of found weapons with A" because I only started doing it after 4 hours in D:
* A glitch that happened after "the bit where you need to use magnesium wire" (I took two screenshots and put them into one, for some reason):
Those extras are "functional" too, btw.
Oh and.. something I can't seem to get my head around is how the AP works because.. My MC has had two AP for a large part of my current playthrough but she doesn't *always* get to attack twice in combat. Sometimes both "X"s disappear in one action whereas sometimes they don't.. And.. I think there must be some pattern I'm not seeing :x

Just finished. After I replaced it with the new file, it ran fine except for one very odd instance...
Anyway, I really liked it and eagerly await the conclusion. I'll probably try some of your other games while I'm waiting.
It was during the huge fight at the shuttle port, after the doctor steals your ride. Specifically, after I killed a bunch of the Fallen(assuming that is what they are really called), they just stopped showing, but the battle itself did not end. Nothing happened. In fact, in my confusion, I wandered back to the launch control area and it started over like nothing happened, but when I returned to the site, nothing. I reloaded my save and tried again, this time the boss appeared. It didn't last time, so I think that was the main problem.

Thanks for the notes. Dammit those shotguns have been a pain right from the start. Thank you for investigating and giving me some more info about how it happens tho. Not sure what you mean about things being rolled against Wield 0 though. Can you explain this phenomenon?
@Myotis: Glad you enjoyed, and thanks for telling me about that thing that happened. Can you send me your final save file?

It's the same thing as what happened to Myotis's Evan except with me it's my MC instead. She has like wield 2/3 (can't remembered without looking D:) but the game displays "wield 0" at the criteria-meeting window/dice-roll thingy. (Although apparently unlike Myotis, I have like 68-93% chance on rolls and they tend to hit most of the time.)
When I try to run the game, it doesn't even load. Sure, the program box pops up, but it's just a white screen, and then I get "RGSS player has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
New ones for you:
*Derichard.png not found when trying to use the resuscitator on a fallen Evan. :<
* Game crash triggered by attempting to upgrade my Impact Hammer, I should probably have realized it wasn't ready to be upgraded by the fact that an upgrade choice was "increase clip size to 13" like the pistol, despite having no ammo D:
*Somewhere along the way Derichard has managed to get his hands on a never-running-out sedative hypo.

I forgot to mention that I made a second save during that odd occurrence, if you'd like that one as well. Here they are.
Save 1, finished game.
Save 2, oddity.
