It Was Terrible.....As In Terribly Good

Okay, first off, some of it seemed a little rushed while other parts seemed to take forever. This game can get a person thinking and indulged into it. You don't see many games like this anymore.

Story = 3.5/5
i like how it starts out giving you the only small tidbit of information you actually need for the game to start progressing. Around the first time you meet the other "survivors" it starts to get interesting. I was thinking "How could there still be other survivors out here if the entire town was attacked?" Although I got my answer later on, it still bugs me.

It really brings together the 3 games in a confusing, intelligent, complicated way that most players might not understand, but I assume that's half the fun, right?

Gameplay = 3/5
i like how it has slowly advanced from One Night 1, but basically kept the same structure. Being able to equip weapons like the Shovel and Handgun made it fun, although, the Ammunition for the gun can run out very quickly based on how the "Boxes of Ammo" give you 1 bullet.

The enemies got better; they were freaky, creepy, and all around just ANNOYING, especially near the end where they started to move a little faster. The monsters reminded me of "Silent Hill" becausethey looked like the little guys who wuld come up to you and just attack you with their... claws? or something? Anyway, it was playable and very easay to adjust to.

Puzzles!! = 5/5
There is almost no explanation needed for these puzzles. They were brain-numbing half the time, and I couldn't help from grabbing a sheet of paper and writing down all information I might need later on. Some puzzle specifics:

>The Alphabet Puzzle in the Motor Inn
This was easy to grasp, and even easier to solve, but there were a couple of errors, like how HVXJMW was supposed to say SECOND when solved, but actually spelled SECQND. A couple of letters seemed to be mixed up, but it was easy enough to tell what they meant.

>The Hospital Storage KeyCode
I didn't understand it. At all. The math problem was easy to figure out, but I had no clue how to get a 4-digit code from it. And after I finally did, I felt like a complete dumbass having to leave the hospital just to get another item from the city so I could continue.

All in all they were not your classic puzzles, but more advanced problems that required some thought.

Music and Surprises = 4/5
The music and sounds all reminded me of horror games past (probably because they were taken from them :P). A lot of the music felt a little repetitive throughout the game, but really set the mood.

The monsters, apparitions, and other things that would pop up, shriek, and flash the screen made me jump a little. i've always jumped at that stuff, even when I know it's coming.

Overall Score = 4.5
This is a game i am sure to remember for a long time. Although the replay value is a little low, it was still a pretty good game. Keep up the good work, and I might check out your next big game.

P.S. - Don't leave the project file (Game.rvproj) in the folder, cuz anyone could open it and use it to cheat
Which is how I found the code for the Hospital Storage............

Thanks for the review! I'm glad you liked the game. I feel that One Night 3 is kind of rushed. It was intended to tie up the loose ends from the first two games and I feel that it did it rather clumsily.

I may make another horror game in the future. Thanks for writing!

EDIT: Pretty sure the ammo pickups each give you ten bullets though.
a couple times i checked after i got a box, and each one gve me one bullet.
it wasnt that bad, though. i still had more than enough for the final boss fight
Oh well. They are supposed to be used sparingly anyway.
the torn pages code, I can not find where to enter the codes, I have been all over the save game room and can not find where to enter the code
