Zylacs

The Zylacs are cold, unfeeling, deadly creatures. After the creation of the Star Stone, these alien-like monsters poured out of a rift in space and began to wreak havoc on the world. Often traveling in large pacts, Zylacs have no affinity towards high-profile targets, they simply kill what is in their path. It is unclear if they operate under a hive mind or take orders from more advanced Zylacs. In the time since they first arrived, humanity has found ways to fight back, forming numerous coalitions tasked with defending against attacks around the world.

Classification: Soldier
Height: 8 feet
Nickname: Reaver
The Reaver is the most common form of Zylac. Almost all Zylacs that emerge from rifts in space are of the Reaver classification. They have two forms of attack, one coming from the sharp blade-like appendage protruding from their bodies that they use to hack away flesh with ease. The other is a built up burst of cloudy dark magic that can disintegrate foes in seconds.

Classification: Magic Buffer
Height: 5 feet
Nickname: Zealot Pawn
Often referred to as cannon fodder by the Anti Zylac Alliance Federation, the Zealot Pawn is often the first target in large scale battles. This is less due to their poor offensive and defensive capabilities and more so because of what the Zealot Pawn signifies. Their specialty comes in the form of magic buffering. When a Zealot Pawn shows up, a larger, more menacing Zylacs is never too far off.

Classification: Decoy/Defender
Height: 5 feet
Nickname: Zealot Knight
When left unchecked, the Zealot Pawn will often morph into the Zealot Knight. Given enough time, it's offensive and defensive abilities will increase, making it a formidable foe on its own. There is speculation that if a Knight is afforded enough time, it will morph into a Reaver.

Classification: Poison Slug
Height: 3 feet
Nickname: Malasii
The Malasii, given its name after Sergeant Malasii who suffered a gruesome death in the battle for Notsica, is more dangerous than it looks. Small, slow moving and not too aggressive, one wrong move could result in gruesome death. Coming into contact with this toxic Zylac almost always results in infection. If left untreated, the infection consumes the body, quickly decomposing tissue and decomposing the subject into a thick, black sludge. A very gruesome death.

Classification: Titan
Height: 12 feet
Nickname: Zethanian
Zethanian, a variation on Zealot, is often referred to as the Daddy Reaver. That's because of the consensus of how hard they are to take down, often compared to taking down 10 Reavers at once. They are protected by a thick outer shell that once penetrated, releases deadly toxins in the air.

Classification: Brute
Height: 9 feet
Nickname: Gatastar
Known as the 'big brother' to the Reaver, this slow moving Zylac boasts an incredibly thick outer shell. What it lacks in speed it makes up for in brute strength. The key to taking down a Gatastar is tiring it out. Once it is tired enough, its shell weakens enough to be shattered, exposing its fleshy insides.
