EVEN DAY

Even day can turn to night,
Even dark can become light,
For every death there is a life,
For every breath a last goodnight.
For shadows, sun
For boredom, fun
In evil, good
In cannot, could
And at the end of every day
The time does tick and fast away
There comes an end to every thing
For life and love, a purpose, bring.

QUILL, a young woman whose memory has fled, and SEI, a rogue searching for his place in the world, embark on a quest to save a kingdom from the threat of war. Joined by Sei's sister TIYA, a huntress in the king's court, and her lover TOA, a noble man of lowly birth, they search for the answers as to the King's disappearance. Along the way they meet many foes and friends including CRYPT, a dark magician learning the way of good, and his accomplice SPIDA, a weapon mistress of the Craign race, MIKI, a childish exotic dancer and the enigmatic Sarin, RAKE.

Together this band of mismatched adventurers learn of love, hate, good and evil and the secrets behind the strange happenings in their world. For behind every evil deed lies a motive and finding the truth can sometimes hurt more than one can know...

NOTES
This game was started in 1998 via RPG Maker PSX and continued being crafted via bookwork until I found RM2K in 2001. I then began to work on the game in that engine and got quite a bit done before jumping to another project. In 2004-5 I went back to Even Day and fixed a few things that bugged me, including more detail in maps. I've now picked it back up again as a boredom buster (whilst waiting for the internet to come back on) and fixed a few problems and map errors.

Released Demo for RS!DX

So here it is, finally. A demo release for Even Day. It's bound to be a bit rough in places and there may be a few MINOR bugs but I'm quite sure there's nothing game breaking. Not a very long demo, but there's two towns, a dungeon and a castle so hopefully players will have fun.

The battles aren't as great as they could be at the moment and Sei's attack is all kinds of messed up. I'm working on it, slowly. And the maps are where I want them to be. ^.^ Except the castle ones.

When I created this game (one of my first!) I had the gigantic map disease. It's slowly getting reversed but most parts that area accessible during the demo have been fixed in that respect, thank God.

Well, just hope you enjoy it and if there's any problems tell me. I'll get fixing as soon as I can!

Okay, so the newest version is up. Whether it's got anything else wrong with it I'm not sure, but I should have killed all game killers. Thanks all (edchuy ^.^) for being so patient. Enjoy~

OK, Liberty. I'll be downloading it know. I hope not having to let about any major issues (cross your fingers!). I'll be playing it through once more and let you know about anything I find along the way.

As an aside, this RMN upload system since to have an issue, since it didn't even change the date and type of posting. I figured it was different thanks to all the underscores you've been adding! Because of this issue, your newest version won't be shown in the "Latest Games to Play" in RMN's main webpage.

Also, I found out that somebody had let you know about the issue with Duchess Angelique in response to your most recent blog post. In general, I'll have to make sure to read any discussion or blog comments to make sure I'm aware of whether somebody reported something yet regarding a game.

I really like most of your character names.
I've downloaded this because it looks good, but for some reason, there is no font showing... I've installed the RTP... can you send me or tell me the font you've used?
Huh, strange. I'm actually not quite sure what font I used for this (it was started in about 2001-ish and I wasn't great at noting things down then). Anyone know of a way to check what font has been used in a 2K project?

Maybe try copy/pasting an RPG_RT file that works from another project if you have one. I've used that to fix font problems before.
Your game uses the RMG 2000 font, which is one of the 2 standard default fonts that are installed with either RPG Maker 2000 or with the RM 2000 RTP.

I've uploaded them both to my locker:
http://rpgmaker.net/users/SegNin/locker/RM2K_fonts.zip

harbin91, you said you installed the RTP, but you didn't say for which one.
Because there's two of them: an RTP for RM 2000 and one for RM 2003.

I've got them both installed.

Which folder do I throw those fonts into?
The font folder in your control panel. It should work fine then.

Thanks for posting those fonts, Segnin, I lost them (again) whilst updating. Now my fonts aren't ugly anymore.
