For two years, the war has raged on, becoming almost a simple afterthought in the minds of the common folk. There are those who know better, however, and wish to understand it - and then there are those who understand and seek to take out the root of the conflict altogether.

In a story of wars both political and personal, a young man, Padrick Delaney, has declared himself the savior of the country Salenar. A young woman, Carmilla Argot, recently turned head of the private investigations network called the Argot Night, has decided that she must be the one to uncover the motivation of the so-called savior.

Padrick's fellow members of Salvation, his group of anti-war radicals, have set in motion a chain of events that will change the course of war - and the country - tremendously. In a race against time, Salvation and the Argot Night must collide in order to uncover the secrets of Salenar...

Wait, what?

I didn't quite understand your post, but just because you like it doesn't mean they have to finish it any faster. Otherwise, we would all have had our "Line's End" long ago... still waiting for that. But to be honest, I haven't seen much of an update on this in a few months, so I'm not even sure where it's standing right now. But regardless, this just goes in line with the posts I've read recently in the forums about people overhyped for a game that doesn't (and may never) exist, verses games that are available.

Yes, I'm looking forward to this, but there are so many available games that I feel that when the time is right, this will be released, and if not, well at least I didn't waste my time standing around waiting.

I was justing joking,

You got told.

Also ive subscribed now.

I might make an attempt to try this when my bandwidth resumes. 120+MB is too much at the moment to download.
I'm probably never touching this again.

Aww why? ;-;
This was my favourite game of yours so far.

WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAT.

I would never rip off SCF's work. They're from a Japanese resource site. :<

What's the vx script for more party members?
Even though this seems abandoned I wanted to give it a try, but game.exe keeps crashing during start/end of battles. Anyone else have that issue?

chaos had that issue, too, when he was testing. I never figured it out; other people had no trouble.

benos: look for yez (zealous) party selection
Not too far into this, but it's really good so far.

It makes me sad your finished working on this. It's pretty good, oh well, suppose now I'll have to check out any other projects you have =P
Looks interesting. *Subscribed*
Bug found:

Holy Lantern is usable from menu outside of combat, causing it to be consumed and do nothing.

Follow-up bug:

Ranger boost and slayer boost do not stack. The -10%s from both of them apply when both equipped, but the system only applies the 20% aim they both give once.
Bug found:

Inexplicably got the "this rock, it cares not about my kicks" line while fighting the Unwanted in the forest. I had beaten both the optional bosses in the tunnel and the forest, and I'd seen the same line while fighting the rock in the tunnel.

The game is done by that point. There's no more. It's where I gave up.
Feedback after finishing the demo:

-wonderful polish, both graphics-wise and balance-wise. This was an immensely visually appealing game.

-Gameplay reminded me, strangely enough, of McGee's To Arms! Linear and plot-oriented, with a focus on tactical combat, the battles in PoP didn't feel quite as visceral as the ones in To Arms!, but they did feel more precise. Every skill was useful, and could be used deliberately to achieve victory. The combat interface was smooth and intuitive.

-I can't say I was a huge fan of the dialog here. I loved the characters, but they kept going back and forth between this extremely formal Elizabethan-y diction and a more modern sound. It felt inconsistent. I wish they'd just sounded casual and modern the whole way through. Their characters came out much better when they weren't trying to be so fancy.

-Plotwise, I felt like I was missing things. People kept talking about characters and situations as if I was supposed to know them. While I did enjoy the world building, it was only provided in little dribbles over time, not enough to make me feel like I knew these people and could sympathize with their cause.

-The first boss, the prince, was an absolute monster. I ended up having to grind before I could go toe to toe with him. Maybe a little down-shifting on his statline would help ease players into the game.

-It was sometimes unclear which gems were related to which skills, which lead to a lot of equipping and unequipping to try and make sure I wasn't wasting GP.

-Overall, I did enjoy this a lot. It was an interesting change of pace from Edifice etc. If this is ever slated for future development, I'll certainly be back to play through the rest of it.

I'll probably remake it eventually, since it's an important prequel to Edifice (fun fact: Carmilla... is Carmilla).

Thanks for the feedback; even this distant from release, it's good to know what people like/don't like for future projects.
