If the hero is two tiles tall, I seriously doubt he'll fit into that tiny hole a few steps ahead.

Unless he can magically shrink whenever he needs to.

That's pretty lame comment, considering you wouldn't even be able to see the character if you wanted it to be in realistic proportions. And I think this applies to all jrpg world maps ever. : |
Yeah, this issue is fixed in my next RPG: Amulet of Fate. But this was an old game, so I was still learning the ins and outs of RPG maker. Thanks for the comments.

I'm not sure I understand your question?
This is why you can shrink the sprite graphic for the world map by using a different sprite that has been edited. I've always tended to do this for the world map in my games such as The Magnus Light and it has also been pulled of by other games such as Prophecy The Demon Kingdom. It's not difficult and it makes it look more realistic and visually appealing to some people. Also the fact that you put down starting continent is strange. The place looks like a small island with a house there not a village, a cave and rocky place. That is no continent! Remember that a continent needs to have countries in it. Each country should have at least some towns/cities/villages depending how developed and large they are. My advice is to change this area into an island which should be part of a continent.
And what I'm going to do is: nothing! I have long since completed this game and in a maker (rpgmaker2000) that I no longer have on my computer. I've more pressing projects to finish. But thanks for the advice.
What's driving me crazy about this game is that damn fog. It's everywhere and I feel like it's a bit overkill. I feel like the fog is more of a overworld map thing and not when you're in towns, etc. Meh???
