Cross your fingers: I contacted Enterbrain.

I've tried everything I could think of to fix my server connection problem, and I have yet to reformat. One of the suggestions I read said that the website could have my IP Address blocked, so I decided to contact Enterbrain to see if this is the case. If it is, I might be one step closer to repurchasing RPG Maker XP. Cross your fingers.

Ugh, I can't wait for the moment when I can say "OMG! ENTERBRAIN FIXD MY PORBLEM! RPG MAKER XP, HERE I COMZ!!!:D"
I really can't.
I really can't.
I wonder if there's some kinda help forum on the site? If there is, there's definitely a very slim chance someone encountered a similar problem, and made a thread about it.
Can't hurt to check at this point, right?

This, or mess with everyone and have both worlds be it's own reality.
This is probably what I will do. Similar to something like Tales of Symphonia, but different.
I'm just being realistic about the fact that it's been a week since the first email, and there hasn't even been a hint that Enterbrain is considering contacting me.
I was looking at rpgmakerweb a few moments ago, and it appears they have absolutely no FAQs for RMXP, but quite a bit of support for RMVX. Granted, VX is a later product, but the fact that XP has no apparent on-line support (or at least obvious on-line support), tosses a red flag of possible abandonment.
It's equally possible that the FAQs are simply not up yet. I have no idea how long Enterbrain has used rpgmakerweb as it's official site for everything RM-related, but it could be the simple case of an incomplete data transfer from one sever to another.
Either way, things aren't looking too good for you, MKID. I don't know how helpful filling out another technical issue form, or sending another e-mail, would be, but what other option is there?

Apparently piracy. But that's something I won't do unless it is absolutely, 100%, no chance of anything else working necessary.
Granted, Enterbrain is probably one of those companies that doesn't even remotely bother answering emails on weekends and holidays.
Its free.
I like xp better tho. You will really have to get used to 2k3, also theres no scripting possible. So if u used scripts than you wont be able to put them in.

There were only a couple scripts I used. They were an HP and MP bar script (worked well), and a questing script that didn't really work as I had hoped, but I would have implemented that in a later project.
You could proberly make the same things with events in 2k3.
My advice: download 2k3, start a new project and leave this one till it works.
(my advice is almost always crap...)
