Act II - Interview with Aeon
Interview with Aeon
By Bradyrules
WARNING: DO NOT READ THIS INTERVIEW UNLESS YOU HAVE FINISHED ACT I, OR WANT THE ENDING SPOILED. THIS CONTAINS HUGE SPOILERS!!!
After our non-informative interview with Naivem about a week or so back, I have begun my descent into the underworld. I found Aeon and his party up on a rock. All of them were arguing, except for Aeon. He was sitting solemnly on the side. I braced myself for the worst, and approached him…
Bradyrules: Um, hey Aeon. I was wondering if I could get a chance to interview you.
Aeon:…
Bradyrules: Just one little interview, about what’s been going on recently. That’s all.
Aeon:…. I don’t want to speak to anyone….
Bradyrules: Come on, think of our viewers in the overland!
Aeon: No…
Bradyrules: Why not!
Aeon: Because my brother is dead! Dead! Do you understand me? That horrible demon, mage, whatever it was called Thrusen killed my one and only brother!
Bradyrules: I…I’m so sorry…
Aeon: No you’re not! You can’t even begin to understand what it’s like! No one can! Thrusen has taken everything from me! My home, my brother, even my magic!
Bradyrules: He stole your magic?
Aeon: Yes… he took my mana…
Bradyrules: Do you mind me asking what it is that you do now then?
Aeon: I can only fight, with this spear. Daniel has been giving me a few tips to help but…. It’s not the same…
Bradyrules: Well Aeon, I’m really truly sorry for everything. Especially your brother…
Aeon: Pete…..
Bradyrules: Oh no, please don’t start crying again!
Aeon:….
Well that about wraps up this interview with Aeon, as his party helps him to his feet and drags him off. I really do feel sorry for that kid… I only hope that he can control it…
Next week, or the week after that, we will be interviewing Lidya (Hopefully we'll be able to learn a little bit more about the party's affairs from her) so stay tuned!

Act II - Interview with Naivem
Bradyrules is back again to pick up where he left off in interviewing the characters for Act II of the game! He will start with the bad guy, Naivem. In Act II you will sometimes be asked to play as Naivem as he completes tasks for the Master of Souls.
Interview with Naivem
By Bradyrules
We have kicked off Act II by meeting up with a…. special new friend of ours in the Overland. Naivem is the right hand man of our beloved Master of Souls, and has access to all of his plans. Because he is currently on the surface of Rie, we will interview him before travelling to the Underworld to interview the others: New and Old. As I approach Naivem, I notice that he is wrapped in a cloak of swirling darkness; no feature of him is visible. He is talking with a Death Mage.
Bradyrules: Um, Naivem – Sir – could I have a moment?
Naivem: WHAT!!!!! Oh, it’s just one of you pesky interviewers.
Bradyrules: Yes, I was wondering if we could get a sneak peek at some of the Master of Souls’ plans for our readers.
Naivem: Absolutely not… however…. You amuse me, mouse. I shall answer five questions, if I feel like answering them.
Bradyrules: Alright then, what exactly is your position, in terms of the Master of Souls?
Naivem: Most people consider me his right hand man, but they are hopelessly mistaken.
Bradyrules: Um… okay. Why exactly do you keep yourself hidden in those shadows all the time?
Naivem: For reasons you have no right to know. Trust me; no one wants to see my true form.
Bradyrules: Right… what kind of powers do you have?
Naivem: All sorts of spells, curses, and hexes.
Bradyrules: That didn’t answer my question!
Naivem: Of course it did, mouse; you asked what kind of powers I had.
Bradyrules: Alright, what exactly are you? Who are you?
Naivem: Silly journalist, I am a demon. And that is all I wish for you to know.
Naivem walks away to continue talking with some Demonlings. That interview got us absolutely nowhere! However, next time we’ll travel into the depths of the underworld to talk with our heroes. Hopefully, they have more answers than the villains.
Be ready, in a few more weeks we will add interviews for our old main characters, plus a new one!
Just be ready for some spoilers!

Behold, the Underworld/Playing as the Baddies!
Hey people! I haven't checked this gamepage in a while, so it's good to see that things are running smoothly. A quick heads up: Act II - The Struggling is about 50% through completion! We just added in our new character, and are finishing up the second half of the maps. As I posted earlier, we hope to be completely tested and done with Act II sometime around may, but this is all subject to change. As far as the storyline goes, we just finished fixing it up, but no spoilers yet. I will tell you this though, our heroes are in for several devious and terrible surprises along the way!
I added a few new images, feel free to check those out to see how the mapping is progressing! We will start writing interviews for characters, and hopefully have them up and ready in about one or two months.
In addition, we just finished creating a new feature in the game that allows you to play as the Master of Souls' evil Comrade, Naivem, and experience the terrible things occuring in the overland during our hero's absence. This feature will mostly consist of cutscenes, dialogue, and a few epic battles (where you play against some of the other good guys). This feature will also include the ability to complete a few side quests where you must destroy rebels, invade and garrison towns, dominate one of the great civilizations of Rie, and so much more! We may possibly be adding an interview for Naivem in the near future to unravel some of the mysteries surrounding him in the near future, so stay tuned!

Interview with Pete Jamakri
Last time we met with our second to last party member, Christina. Now it's time to meet with the final partaker in the first section of our story, Pete Jamakri. I have found him intently focused on a door in the city.
Bradyrules: Err, hey Pete. What are you doing?
Pete: I'm trying to identify the lock, so I can get into the house. Now shut up and go away.
Bradyrules: So, I take it that you're a thief then? Trying to pick the lock and all.
Pete: Maybe I am why does it matter?
Bradyrules: I'm interviewing all the members of your party, so I need to know a little bit about you.
Pete: Oh, you're that crazy reporter that my brother warned me about! He said I should run and never look back if I saw you, did you say something that insulted him?
Bradyrules: Err, maybe.
Pete: Good, you and I are gonna be great friends!
Bradyrules: Right, anyway... how old are you exactly! You seem smaller than everyone else.
Pete: I'm fourteen and 3/4, in two months I'll be fifteen.
Bradyrules: Well, happy early birthday I guess. What do you think of your fellow party members?
Pete: Aeon's my brother, but he thinks he has to constantly protect and watch over me. I'm almost fifteen for crying out loud! So what if I'm a little irresponsible. I don't really get Daniel or Lidya; they seem to always be focused on each other or themselves. Christina reminds me a lot of Aeon, and vice versa. But don't tell either of them I said that.
Bradyrules: I already made that mistake. What about Thrusen?
Pete: You mean the creepy wizard who stands in the corner? I think he's up to something, something really bad. But no one believes me. The just dismiss me as a "little kid".
Bradyrules: I see what you mean, what's this I've been hearing about Thief Guilds?
Pete: Well, there are two Thief Guilds on Dalthornia: The Assassins, and The Spies. I can join either one by completing a quest, and I'll learn special skills based on the manual I get from them. The spies are more manipulative, while the assassins focus on quick kills. I think that the Spy Guild is based in Winter Fief, while the Assassin Guild is in Tar' Jahri.
Bradyrules: Good to know I suppose. What do you think you'll do when the quest is complete?
Pete: I dunno, but I am NOT going with Aeon to live with Thrusen. He scares me.
Bradyrules: Well, good luck with that Pete. Time for our last question: What do you think about the Master of Souls?
Pete: The what? Does that have something to do with Aeon's stupid dream? If it does, then I hate it. And I don't believe in it either.
Alright folks, that is the last of the Act I interviews! As we approach the release of Act II I will release an interview for every character, new and old, in that Act. Be warned though, many spoilers may be revealed! Enjoy the game.

Interview with Christina
Today we meet up with the Priestess Christina who we have found chatting with some druids about the water quality of the city.
Bradyrules: Hey Christina, how are you these days.
Christina: I’ve been worse I guess, why do you want to know?
Bradyrules: We’ve been interviewing you and your companions, long story.
Christina: I see.
Bradyrules: Speaking of your cohorts, what do you think of them?
Christina: Well most of them are alright. Pete is such an adorable little boy, even though he’s a little crazy, Thrusen scares me a bit, but I don’t mind Daniel. The only two who get on my nerves are Lidya and Aeon. Lidya is really stupid, and quite annoying. She is always fawning over Daniel, and telling him how great he is. Aeon just assumed that he is our leader, and he’s really irrational. He always makes the wrong decisions, unless Pete is around. Then he acts all sophisticated and responsible, but I can see through him.
Bradyrules: Well, Aeon didn’t have such great things to say about you either.
Christina: Oh, great! This is exactly what I’m talking about, he’s an irresponsible jerk. What rumors did he start about me?
Bradyrules: He said something about you thinking you were always right.
Christina: Well, I don’t! He lies. End of discussion.
Bradyrules: You know you and he are pretty similar.
Christina: Never even suggest such a thing! I am nothing like him, he’s so pushy and obnoxious, and he never shuts up! He rants on and on about nothing at all, it’s so pointless!
Bradyrules: Alright then, what do you do for the party?
Christina: I’m a healer, but no one appreciates it. They think it’s useless to only heal, but if I weren’t there they would probably die. I can also inflict and remove some status conditions; it’s the only thing that earns me any respect around here.
Bradyrules: What kind of status conditions do you wield?
Christina: Well, everything really. I can only put people to sleep, or silence them right now, but in the future I’ll learn to poison, curse, and maybe even petrify enemies.
Bradyrules: Alright, it’s time to wrap this up. You seem to act like you hate Aeon a lot, is that one of those things where you pretend to hate them, but you secretly like them?
Christina: Ew, gross! Aeon is a jerk, and really annoying. Although, sometimes he can be reasonable and pretty sweet… but that’s only because Pete is around!
Alright, I get how it is. Stay tuned people, next time we’ll interview Pete and then who knows where I’ll be headed to!

After our discussion with Daniel, meet up with the renowned mage Thrusen on the other side of Tar’ Jahri.
Bradyrules: Hello, Thrusen is it? It’s great to have you today.
Thrusen: It’s good to be on.
Bradyrules: Thrusen, what are you doing over here away from the other party members?
Thrusen: The Priestess told us to get prepared before returning to her, so while they get to know each other I am over here buying necessary supplies.
Bradyrules: I see, so what do you think of your party? As the oldest are you the decision maker? Do you consider yourself the wisest? Do you have trouble keeping up with them?
Thrusen: My friends, although they can be rather… annoying at times, are like family to me. That… Daniel I believe it is… he is so arrogant. He thinks that he is smarter, stronger, and faster than any of us and I will not make the same mistake as him by saying I am better than any of the others. If he keeps this up, he will get himself killed. I wouldn’t say that I am the leader, but I do have experience which comes with age.
Bradyrules: As a mage, what sort of powers do you have?
Thrusen: I don’t have many of my own powers, I learn powers from monsters.
Bradyrules: How do you do that?
Thrusen: My own spells aren’t to destroy the enemy, but rather learn his moves and use his own power against him.
Bradyrules: I see. So what are you actually doing? Where are you going?
Thrusen: I am going with the party to aid them with their master of soul’s quest. I find it quite intriguing and mysterious. I hope to uncover a mystery and possibly do some good in the world. There is always such little good and so much evil. To have a part in vanquishing any evil we encounter would make me very happy. Unfortunately, we can never really win. In all my days, all the evil I have seen defeated, it is never truly gone. As one evil falls another rises, the side of what we consider good, right, and civilized can never truly win.
Bradyrules: That really is unfortunate. And of course what about your past? I hear you are from a faraway land. What did you do as a boy up until your master of soul’s quest?
Thrusen: Well I don’t have all day, and I am sure you wouldn’t want the long and boring history of my entire life, which I wouldn’t say is boring but it’ s nothing amazing. I come from a faraway land, where of course, I was a mage. I have ventured to your lands for the master of souls quest and to hopefully finally have an interesting highlight in my long life, a story to tell grandchildren.
Bradyrules: And what will you do after your quest is complete? Will you go back to your homeland or stay here?
Thrusen: That is a good question. I haven’t yet decided for myself. It really depends on what happens along the way, and of course I will have to find out more about what the task ahead of me is before I start thinking about the future.
Bradyrules: And finally, is there anyone in your party that you don’t really like?
Thrusen: No, no they are all good people. Everyone has their flaws, but they are good people. The only thing is Pete doesn’t seem to trust me at all. He looks at me as if I am a strange old man and whispers about me behind my back.
Bradyrules: I don’t see the need for that. You seem like a very civilized man, unlike jthe rest of them. Well, thank you very much for your time.
Thrusen: Not a problem at all. Thank you for having me.
Thrusen returns to buying items for the party’s quest, strangely he is only buying items for himself. I smile and walk away, determined to find Christina, then Pete, and then get out of here. Something strange is going to happen…

Interview with Daniel Chapers
Last time, we caught up with our… interesting friend, Lidya. Now, after having searched the city of Tar’ Jahri for days, I have found the man named Daniel who she referred to.
Bradyrules: Hello Daniel, how are you?
Daniel: I prefer to be called Daniel Chapers the Great and Wondrous, Almighty Knight of Castle Redrock! But I am doing fine, thank you for asking. What can I get for you? An autograph or perhaps two?
Bradyrules: Um, that’s ok. I’ll pass on the autograph. Anyway, what is with the Master of Souls?
Daniel: Oh, an interview! Of course I’ll agree to being interviewed, I am quite popular as I’m sure you have figured out.
Bradyrules: Yes, it was very hard to miss. Now, can we please continue with the interview? The Master of Souls, remember?
Daniel: Well, I am not really sure who the Master of Souls is yet, no one is. But if anyone can figure it out, it will be I, Daniel Chapers the Great and…
Bradyrules: Alright! We don’t need the introduction, again! Back to the interview, Lidya Chapers talked about you an awful lot in her interview, does she really like you? Or is it just a rumor?
Daniel: Many fall in love with me, of course. I am the greatest swordsman in the entire world! A countless number are attracted to me, but that doesn’t matter. I could have any woman I want, so it really is a matter of if I like her.
Bradyrules: And do you?
Daniel: Well, she is my friend for now. Maybe something will happen, maybe not. Love is something that even I cannot predict.
Bradyrules: Do you like your quest?
Daniel: Well I really had no choice. As a knight, I was bound to two things at once. I will never know if I did the right thing accepting that challenge over winning the tournament, I cannot tell where I am needed most. But what I can guarantee is that I will successfully complete the task at hand, which right now is to get to the temple.
Bradyrules: Do you have anything to add before we finish?
Daniel: I just want to assure all my fans out there that I will succeed at this task. If I can’t do it, no one can. For, after all, I am Daniel Chapers the Great and Wondrous...
Bradyrules: And, we're clear, we're clear! No need to continue. Thank you for your time.
Daniel: Well it is valuable.
…Ok then… as Daniel turns to leave, I wonder if there is really any sane person in this party. I suppose we’ll talk to Thrusen next time, it shouldn’t be too long. From what I hear he may be the only normal person in this bunch.
But for now people, go forth and enjoy the game! :)

Act I release is set!
Alright people, cats, demonic overlords, and those who I forgot to name (Yeah, I'm talking to you, parrots) the release for the first Act of Master of Souls is set in stone. It is tomorrow, December 23 2010.
I'm still gonna continue to post interviews from the Act I characters even after the game is released.
To my testers: Thank you so much! This wouldn't have been possible without you. The game still has spelling and grammar errors, I'm fixing as many as I can find, but otherwise I fixed every bug you told me about. If there is anything you forgot to tell me about, please don't hesitate to PM me.
Can't wait to get this out to you people (and all who were listed above) and I really hope you enjoy! :)

Interview with Lidya Garnell
After searching nearly every building of Tar’ Jahri over the past week, I have finally found Miss Lidya Garnell arguing with a few members of the royal guard.
Bradyrules: Lidya, could I have a moment please?
Lidya: How do you know my name? Are you another stupid person coming to join our party?
Bradyrules: Err… no.
Lidya: Good, I liked it much better when it was just Daniel and I. Now, please leave. I’m trying to gain access to the castle here.
Bradyrules: Look, if you could just answer a few of my questions-
Lidya: I already told you to leave, don’t make me pull out my bow.
Bradyrules: So, you’re an archer then?
Lidya: Ugh! Why are you so persistent? If you must know, yes I am an archer. And one of the finest around, I might add.
Bradyrules: I see… do you even know of any other archers to compare yourself to?
Lidya: I really think you should leave, before I lose my temper.
Bradyrules: Just a few more questions, what do you think of the Master of Souls quest?
Lidya: If I answer your questions, will you leave me alone?
Bradyrules: Of course.
Lidya: Fine, I’ll be part of your stupid interview. I think the Master of Souls stuff is a bunch of myths and lies. There is no such thing as demons, or prophecies for that matter. Although, the writing on the wall did scare me a little bit…
Bradyrules: What writing?
Lidya: Nothing. Why do you care?
Bradyrules: Because I’m a reporter, do you treat everyone this way?
Lidya: Well, err… not everyone… I have some respect for Daniel, but none for anyone else.
Bradyrules: Daniel?
Lidya: Yeah, Daniel Chapers. You know, the powerful, handsome, charming knight…
Bradyrules: Ok then… are you and he in love?
Lidya: Don’t you have someplace else to be?
Lidya turns around and ignores all of my attempts to ask her more questions; I guess this is the end of this week’s interview. Stay tuned for next week where we shall meet up with this Daniel Chapers… hopefully he is a bit friendlier.

Interview with Aeon
Alright people, as opposed to making a character page for Master of Souls, Everguard Productions has decided to introduce you to characters in a way with a little more... personality.
We have dropped our good friend Bradyrules, who is responsible for the characters in this game, off into the city of Tar' Jahri. He is meeting up with and interviewing each of these characters, to give you a personal view of what they are like. As the party heads out of Tar' Jahri, he has (unwillingly) agreed to follow them and continue to interview all characters every Act, both old and new characters. Without any more stalling on my part, here is the first of the many interviews that are to follow.

Interview with Aeon Jamakri
After running many miles to the city of Tar’ Jahri, I have caught up with our friend Aeon Jamakri. He appears to be the leader of the party, and is busy trying to have a conversation with a citizen at the moment. Hopefully, he’ll grant us some time.
Bradyrules: Hey Aeon, how are you doing?
Aeon: Who are you?
I am about to answer him, before he shakes his head and says:
Aeon: Never mind, I’ve seen worse before. I’m doing fine.
Bradyrules: Alright then… I’ve been asking around town, and some of our viewers are really quite curious. Who, or what, exactly is the Master of Souls?
Aeon: Well that’s really what we our goal is and what we set out to do, so of course no one knows.
Bradyrules: Of course. If you had to choose between saving your entire party but your brother, or your brother, who would you save?
Aeon: Well, I would probably have to save Pete. Thrusen is an old man, he doesn’t have much time left anyway, I suspect that Lidya and Daniel have something going on, if you know what I mean, so they would at least die together, and Christina is all alone in this world. And, it’s pretty obvious why. She’s annoying and always thinks she’s right no matter what others have to say. You understand what I’m saying right? How could anyone act like that?
Bradyrules:...
Aeon:Pete and I would still have each other; it’s the only way everyone is happy. Except Christina, but she is NEVER happy!
Bradyrules: So… I take it you don’t like your party, other than your brother?
Aeon: Oh no, they are great people, and each and most of them are very close to me. As the leader of the group, as long as they follow and respect me, there are no problems.
Bradyrules: Even when you would save your brother over ALL of them?
Aeon: Look, family first. He is my little brother. It is my responsibility to protect him. I already feel horrible about having to take him on this mission.
Bradyrules: Is there anything you DON’T like about your brother?
Aeon: Well he is great, but… sometimes he can be very distrustful. I have tried to convince him against it, but he seems to think Thrusen is some sort of evil spy. He is crazy. If there is one person in the group I trust, it is him. He has no reason whatsoever not to trust Thrusen. He is a great guy. He also thinks that I am being overprotective. He doesn’t understand how small he is, and that I have a responsibility to protect him.
Bradyrules: What exactly do you hope to do once your quest is complete?
Aeon: I hadn’t really thought about that, maybe travel with Thrusen back to his homeland, if Pete is okay with that by then. If not, I will respect that and stay with him.
Bradyrules: Last question: Are you sure nothing is going on between you and Christina? You seem to be dodging those questions a lot.
Aeon glares at me; it is clearly time to wrap this up.
Ok folks! That is all the time we have for now! Next week we’ll catch up with Lidya Garnell, the short tempered archer! So stay tuned!
