Little Money

Good to know I've got a majority of the message system knocked out (see the Supported Commands tab for details). Even though several escape characters aren't implemented, they won't just show up and the box will actually display close to intended.

The message display options are 100% implemented- that is unless the Allow Other Events to Continue actually does something. If it actually does, please send me a quickie RTP game with a map that demonstrates a case where a message with this option results in different behavior than a message without the option so I can finalize this command.

Right! That took lots of time actually. Anyway, I'm going to write the menu system now. It's going to be an entirely new system, hopefully much better than the original one. See you soon~

I don't know if it works, but I assumed that Allow Events to Continue was the opposite of the Stop Parallel Processes.
I believe it does do something... I have enemies in my game that can hurt the player in-field and they are set to "move toward hero". I believe that they stop moving when a message is being displayed if that box is unticked. (but this has been a minor issue for me in my game so far anyway so it might be something else).

Otherwise they keep advancing toward the player during message displays and will get an attack in as soon as the messages end.

They don't when I try it, perhaps I'll check this again. Events seem to continue regardless of what this option is set as.

I actually have a GIF of this somewhere on my Photobucket.
Try making one event change it and then change it back.. I THINK the default is to halt events when a message displays.. But it doesn't.. So change it to allow and then back to halt? (crazy enterbra!n logic)

I know it makes a difference i my game and in a PM discussion I just had with InfectionFiles about working with this command he says he uses it too (to great effect, 'cause he has hordes of zombies to stop when a message is being displayed :P)

Well, you don't have to necessarily change it to allow movement then back, as long as you have the display message option WITHOUT the allow events to continue box checked before any text it should be just fine.
freeze those pesty moving events in there tracks

I'll whip something up when I get back to my home computer.
Or, you can download Infection, and just look at the first reading text event with zombies on the map.
This might be easier, but if not I'll getcha a quicke.
Do a quickie, I want to make sure everything else isn't a factor otherwise I might not properly target the specific mechanic.
