Enclosed Instruction Booklet

I do have to start writing this thing and it's going to be much less boring if I start it off now. I'll start releasing it with the releases of the engine. It will be in PDF format and shaped like a gameboy manual, and also written in much simpler terms. This is not a replacement for the documentation in RPG Maker 2003, it assumes you know how to use RPG Maker 2003 in the first place. But it will assume nothing else.

It's going to be full of pictures and things, so don't worry. It's mostly a booklet to show you what happens when you add the
Year=20XX
line to the .ini file and to show off the supported commands.

Mirror Plane

Speaking of which, one neat feature that should have been in there in the first place will be the ability to create mirror planes. See the 20XX commands up there in the tabs for the details, but it sets the tiles which will reflect events. It's simple to implement in theory, but I'll have to render the mirror planes before I render the rest of the stage to sandwich and clip the event reflections to.

You've played Pokemon Ruby or a later game in the series? It's how you see yourself in the water... Except you'll have a bit more control over it.

Oh my god yes. MIRROR PLAAAANES. I need this for my glass-floored castle D:
I am officially making the new catch phrase of this site "Use 20XX"
Ooooh, a mirror thing, that'd be great, it beats trying to do it through events, I tried it once, and failed miserably. (It's possible to do with normal events, but in gameplay wise its harder to do.)

You know what else would be cool? To be able to add a rippling effect on some mirror planes, I imagine something like that would look great on simple water tiles, for example. ...but I have no idea if it's possible.
I could just do a waver in the y direction or some other turbulent function.
