I got the EXP curves working and the hero plates completed. See for yourself with the latest image I uploaded. I also implemented the command that changes levels.
Here's the full list:
-Fixed the teleport facing problem
-Added item commands
-Added item to branch conditions
-Added money command and money display
-Added items to page conditions
-Added item viewing in item menu (can see your inventory)
-Fixed a break out of loop glitch
-Added item filters/sorting when viewing items
-Added tinting of the screen and the command that goes with it
-Fixed a bug in reducing entry sizes in save files
-Fixed a bug that crashes the engine if the player has no items
-Increased max party size to 128
-Fixed the horribly memory-hungry method of loading facesets
-Expanded menus to fit larger party sizes
-Added EXP curves
-Added Level Up command
Fixing bugs and all, I'm going to also finish off the full status report. In addition to that, I'm going to get the stats commands to work properly to that change the six stats.

Just wondering, are you going to be adding any new battle types to existing ones (traditional, alternative, and gauge)?

OH OH! Can we have window semi-transparency be available on both "traditional" and "alternative"?
Or, failing that.. Give us control over the window transparency in "message display commands" because at the moment that is BOUND TO THE BATTLE SYSTEM! (WHY enterbra!n?! WHY?!)

unless i am mistaken this is a function of the editor, not the engine, and 20XX is a new engine, not a new editor.

This is something I do keep forgetting.

No, I interpret this data in whatever way I want. However, if you want something more than the default battle system, just use a different version of the battle system whenever I make one.
i was referring to the request to 'give us control'...'in message display commands'.
for that, you'd need a change to the editor.

Yeah, it's dawning on me more and more that I probably won't be able to make use of this awesome project even when its done. I lack the requisite minerals.

What on earth are you talking about?
I don't understand how it works enough to make good use of it, probably :( Is what I mean.
