The story in a sentence: you play Valeran, the last of the dragon slayers, who has come to a town named Theras to find and kill the last living dragon.

With Dragon Slayer, I did not set out to recreate the fantasy genre of JRPGs, or to create something that would set the community ablaze with its outstanding custom graphics and epic plotline. I just wanted to make a simple game, with an easily digestable story that could be completed in 10-20 minutes. If I had to describe what category Dragon Slayer fits in, I would say it is the short story category.

The game file, when compressed by RMXP, is about 1.58MB (without RTP included).

RTP is required to play the game. The only custom graphics in the game are two chipsets created by The Inquisitor, and available for download at the RPG Palace.

Note: Your character will regain all HP/SP immediately following battle.

I put the two files (medieval town and interior) I have in my locker. Unfortunately I couldn't find the world map tileset he made on my computer.

And thank you for the review offer. I hope it's an enjoyable ten minutes of play for you.
Yes, do you happen to still have the tilesets? Could you put them in your locker or upload them some place else for me to grab? Afterwards, you could remove them. They're so nice!

By the way, I'll be downloading this. I may review it! Since it's short and new.
I downloaded the tileset a while back, probably six months ago. I had to register to download them from RPG Palace, but that was under the old design for the website. I'm not sure how far along they are in this migration move to Drupal, maybe a few bugs are still left to work out? The navigation is definitely a step backwards from their old site.
Where did you find the tileset? I looked at RPG Palace but the files were missing or I couldn't access them. Inquisitor does some nice work!
I probably just missed something, but yes, the game (well, like I said in the body, it's quite short, so I don't know if "game" fits) is already complete. I just couldn't find where to submit the download while the project was still pending approval from the moderators.

EDIT: Download files (RXMP compressed and WinRAR formats) have been submitted, pending approval.

This does look pretty neat.

It does, I'm just kind of confused about the "Completed" status.
Subbed just now, I'm looking forward to seeing this one!
