Alter A.I.L.A. takes place in a post-apocalyptic world, on a remote plateau: one of the last remaining land masses above sea level. You play the role of a young prisoner, who among others, have had their memories erased, and must now fight for their lives everyday for the entertainment of others. From here, the story can go in 3 separate directions, depending on your choice during the prologue.
The 3 Sides:
Rebel: On this route, you'll join up with a rebel faction created to stop the dictatorship of Kugar, the overlord. Your motives are ultimately summed up in overthrowing Kugar and establishing peace and human rights for all.
Imperial: On this route, you'll support Kugar's regime, and work towards crushing the rebellion. All resistance must be terminated.
Independent: On this route, you won't join up with either side. Whoever rules does not matter to you. Your one goal is to be free.

I'm sure it will be better, it looks real good. But it may still be worth playing through this as well as there were plenty of interesting twists in this game, especially the 4th scenario. At least for the sake of playing this and then the remake to compare.

The game crashed on me when I got to White and Black. It said I needed some file. I forgot what file, though, and since I didn't (or couldn't) save at all, I don't really want to take the journey to find out.

well I defeated kugar, I think i've gotten the bad ending though, anyone know what I have to do to get the good ending?

Trust me, you're doing it the right way. Just keep attacking him when you can damage him and he'll succumb sooner or later.

How can u defeat the saint kugar? Every time I do a ton of dmg he recovers with 999999.... f*cking annoying!

If u ever want to bring a patch keep in mind that the attacks nullify when two or more attack at the same time ;)

I have a quick question.. I finished all three routes but I still can't choose the innovator's path..what went wrong?

Thanks buddy. I dunno, I'm kinda lukewarm about the whole game since.. well you know what AAG's like in comparison. Looking at this just reminds me of what a poor game designer I was back in the day. :(

the reason why I've always ranted about this game (from it's release up until now) is because it's so damn good. so anyone who either browses through reeaaally old GW threads or some posts on rmn, to clariify; play this game. It is probably one of those select few RMN games you'll play to completion (not to mention I did it three or four times).
Man, I should probably do an incredibly late review or something.

Hmm, that's odd. It's the first time this has happened. Make sure you have all the graphic files because the game will crash if it calls a graphic and that graphic is missing.

I just assume she killed her parents and leave it at that.
I ran into a bug in the fight with during the 4th story. Every time I use Black's PK powers my game crashes, so just a heads up not to do that.
Also, the teleporter puzzle is freakin' hard! I'm still stuck!

I was playing it last weekend, and saw some bugs that I felt like fixing. There's no new content though, so don't worry about downloading it again unless you're planning on holding onto it or anything like that.
