Complete Chaos is Not Dead

I am reviving it. Yes, I know, it has issues:

It is dated
It uses real-life facesets
Graphics are mix-matched

Unfortunately, when I was making this game, graphical consistency was obviously not a priority of mine, however...this game has a REALLY good story and great cast, imo. After browsing through the game's folder, my interest in it suddenly perked, so look forward to a Summer release.

Yeah! Only 3 or 4 dungeons to go!

The old demo is missing some files.

Unfortunately. Anyway, if you download the game, download the chara folder too and just copy those files into the game's main folder.

Sorry for the hassle.

Just for the fun of it...

I submitted an old demo of Complete Chaos, the one I made October last year. It's incredibly outdated, but it sorta gives you a feel of what the game is like.

It's been changed however, mostly dialouge and facesets/models, but mostly, the storyline remains the same.

Funny, I never actually "released" this demo(except on a few smaller sites), I just quietly stuck it on my signature and all of a sudden, the downloads just sky-rocketed. It was funny.

BORDERS!

The character facesets now have borders! Not a huge thing, I know, but it's a start. lol The screenshots will be updated shortly.

Right now, I finished the Barracuda's Ceremony Shrine dungeon, and I'm about to take the characters to Celestia, but before that, I have to do a few side quest stuff first.

First the Celestia events...there will be Realm...but after that...I don't think there will be too much left of this game to do. Wow!

Also, I'll be uploaded some videos of this game too (a la Vanity). Don't know when...but soon!

Small changes/update

I just started the Election House dungeon. And after that, there's "Surge," which will conlude "Case: #2" (like "Acts" in Total Chaos, and like TC, this game has four of those).

More importantly, I took the "lack of consistency" to hear, so I replaced some of the major character's faces with real people, so now every character will have a "real person" faceset with the exception of village people...because that'll be overload. :p

You can see the changes once they're uploaded, titled "Before" and "After 1 & 2."

Eric, Phoebe, and Johnnie all have real faces, so now all 12 playable characters use real people, in comparison to Total Chaos, in which only 6 characters used real people (if you include my dog =P).

See? Improvement.

Small Update/Something "N E W" I'm trying out...

I added the new characters introduced on my blog about a week ago. I just finished the Nuclear Warehouse, and after I did a few extra events, and I'm going to start working on the Election House dungeon, included the events that precede and follow it.

Another thing I'm doing, is that I'm giving the player the option to choose their own leader. Eric is considered the game's lead character, but if you don't want him in your party, head to Adrian City and speak with Eiji Koga, and you can choose any party member you like to be your leader (thus Eric will be treated like any other party member) you can do this any times as you want, and whenever you want (unless you're unable to due to story reasons).

Perhaps I should've done that with Evan. :p

New Stuff!

So far, the game has a total of six dungeons. I may complete this by the summer if I'm lucky, but the release date of Spring 2009 will still stand. I'm still trying to get people to play Onyx 2.

Also, I'm trying to put "movies" into this game (thanks LimeWire!). I don't see this in a lot of RPG Maker games. Though, if I download too many, then the guide will be a separate download (found on my blog). The movie files are short, though, ranging from 1000-1900 kbs. Mp3 files are larger than those. :p

Also, the full game will be stand-alone, meaning, you can run it without downloading RPG Maker or anything related to this. I went back and did this with my other games as well (but not for the demo, unfortunately).

Hey buddy! What is COMPLETE CHAOS all about?

FACTS:

Sequel to TOTAL CHAOS. It's not a direct sequel, however, so you don't need to know a thing about the first game to understand/enjoy this one.

Like the first game, this is a dark comedy, dungeon-crawlerish RPG. Also, if you're a graphics-freak, then you'll want to avoid this at all costs. :p

CHANGES FROM TOTAL CHAOS

An older cast, for better or worse. The ages range from 20 to 28.

The dungeon-length have been cut, and random encounters have been done away with.

More balanced fighting, and many more optional things to do. Improved mapping as well.

And that's basically it, for now. I won't upload this game probably until Winter 2009. Granted, I should be finished with this long before then, but I think I'm going to let this one sit for a while.
