There is now a website you can use to share your custom content with other users! But you're still welcome to use this page to share and discuss content.

Below is a list of finished custom (user-made) content. To add these characters, in most cases you can extract the downloaded file to the game's main directory and you're set. Depending on how the author has organized them, it may be necessary to move files to the appropriate directories. (Custom content has not been tested by me)
Note: After new content has been added, old saves won't be compatible.

If you have posted custom content in this thread, I will (eventually) add your link to the list above, along with a small screenshot if you have included one. Be sure to test your content in-game before posting.

Helpful things:

--> Medium build girl, the .psd that was used to create the built-in characters, is available with layer names in English.

--> Not feeling artistic? You can use any of these images for making custom characters.

--> Notepad++ with syntax highlighting for Heartache 101 can be a big help with story creation.

--> If you are writing story content that includes the appearance of existing characters (built-in or custom), the following list may be of reference:
ID 0 = The Player
ID 1 = Nakajima Miki
ID 2 = Ikeda Keika
ID 3 = Onishi Tsubasa

scratch that i guess i was looking at an older version but still the only thing i reworked were the others
Would it be possible to prevent the player from going on a date with a character until a certain event has been completed? I'm creating a custom character (obviously), and want to have an event involving their first date. However, I'm worried that some players will be able to ask my custom character on a date before that event, thus making it seem out of place. Is there any way to do this, or will I simply have to hope that player doesn't ask before the event occurs?

you can, disable the phone events by using PHONE UNKNOWN tag
or is there any possible way to ask a girl on a date beside phone call?

and my classes just started again after my very short summer vacation
so updates will be, uhm... be delayed
I planned on putting my studies on the top of my priority list after all

so as an apology, even though I hate it.
here's a little character summary about my next update

Konohana Midori

The mysterious girl who had taken refuge at the back of Kazuhiko's nerby shrine, she claims that she's a ghost whose searching for someone, but due to some certain circumstances, she forgot the name of the one she's looking for, but still remember his face. She met Kazuhiko at the shrine when Kazuhiko overheard her singing, they started hanging out everyday. after sometime, she decided to attend school once again, just to increase her time with Kazuhiko. unfortunately, her purpose haunts her once again when Kazuhiko met the one she's looking for at the test of courage arranged by Takuya.

Aozora Hanabi

The cheerful delinquent girl with a strong personality who's residing at the game center. Kazuhiko met her when he's contemplating about the possible clues on Midori's past. and because she can see ghosts even touched them, she help Kazuhiko in his inspection. at the test of courage, they met Koichi, a ghost from the past who's taking refuge at the back of Kazuhiko's nerby shrine on saturday nights, after talking with him, they found out that he's the person Midori is looking for. reluctant on the risk of Midori dissappearing, Kazuhiko plead Koichi to talk to Midori himself and persuade her to go back to the real world. after the test of courage. Kazuhiko learned about Hanabi's tragic past and vowed to liberate her out from his poignant shell.

Hasegawa Koichi

Kirika's ghostly big brother, he met Midori at the real world and made friends with her. but a distressing accident forced the two apart making Midori and Kirika alone. unwilling to rest in peace. he forced his way to Kazuhiko's game world, hoping for Midori and Kirika to follow him.

Hasegawa Kaoru

Kirika's second personality. she can't hear the sounds of others. in exchange, her strength are unmatched. she only appear if Kirika is mad or feeling hostile. unlike the other personality, she's aggressive. she tortured Takuya before erasing him, kicking him out from the game, though Kana immediately redo Kaoru's action's. she's also the culprit behind the accident on Kazuhiko and Hanabi's turn on their test of courage. she really likes to sing, but due to her hobby of bullying Kazuhiko, she never had the chance on making him listen to her.

The best way to do this is for ENCOUNTERS = OFF in the profile. Then, when this date event happens, have ENCOUNTERS = ON. If it doesn't make sense for the character to have ENCOUNTERS = OFF, your best bet is to start off with PHONE KNOWN = NO in the profile. However, that doesn't stop the player from getting the number from the character, and getting a date that way.
An alternative is to have a custom phone event that only allows for chat, which you can turn off as needed with a flag or the event which should allow dates. Something like this:

STORY X
PHONE = (character's ID)
CONDITION = Y NOT DONE
ID = (character's ID)
(Usual phone call yadda-yadda)
A: Just chat

BRANCH A
ID = (character's ID)
AFFECTION UP
ID = 0
(yadda-yadda)

Note that this will cause a constant increase in affection instead of the usual variable that is based on stats, though the player won't know that.

Like, a REPEATABLE phone event with a CONDITION = X NOT DONE? I'm uncertain if that would work, to be honest. I tried my hand at REPEATABLE events with Joruri, and they didn't seem to pan out for me.
wouldnt it be easier to do the date scene in all locations with priority high granted he/she would have to copy and paste it alot but i think that might be her/his best bet unless im misreading yottabyte's post to me it sounded like the event he/she was talking about was a date event

Edit @ dozen i had a problem with phone events with maeda it took forever for her to answer the phone the way i wanted her too wouldnt the same problem exist for your solution unless a priority high was in place?

Well, it isn't exactly a date event. Without revealing too much, while they are on a date, they aren't supposed to be 'dating' then. Thus, it wouldn't make sense for them to have gone on a date prior. And since it's arguably the most influential event in the entire route in terms of how it affects later events, I can't really remove it or work around it very easily.

Still, thanks for all the advice. I like Dozen's idea of using an event instead, as with 4-5 events all set on high priority, it should prevent the player from asking her on a date. Although does anyone know whether you can have both a school event and phone event in the same day? If not, then we might have a problem....

Edit: After some testing, the event idea works great. Thanks again.
you should be able to as long as priority for both are high and the condition for the school event is that the number is known but that doesn't guarantee that the players will call her that night or even that she will answer the phone that night
Hello! Just randomly jumping in here (without knowing what the current discusion is. --Like a boss--) and posting up my current content project (type-thing-a-ma-bob)! *Cheer*. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in someone like this: http://rpgmaker.net/users/Nyoho/locker/Kumiko_KomatsuOriginal.png

So far this is all I have, but I already have all the story done and such, Just working on the graphics. So yeah, feedback would be great! ^.^

P.S: @flowerthief, LOVE the game! Good job!

@Nyoho: I don't see anything hugely wrong with that graphic, outside of it not being scaled down. Which is certainly something!
@Yottabyte Glad I could help!:) Don't forget, use the REPEATABLE command if needed!

@Nyoho...
That girl... That's EXACTLY how I imagined Ryoko! Can I have the .psd? Pretty please?:D

Outside of whatever technique Nyoho used with the hair, I can replicate that tachie with a decent amount of accuracy. Wither or not she is willing to share with us what that technique was, however...?
@Nyoho
Glad to hear that and welcome to the party!
Eh, it's just some shopping. Not necessarily done in ol' 'Shop. I could manage doing something like that, but 1. Copying someone's work when you could just ask for it is an insult for both of you 2. Why bother when it's done already? Programmers switch code between each other all the time.

And dang I got developer status! How cool is that?:D(I'm only allowed on the Custom Content, smack me' head if I thought otherwise sometime)
Dozen will be helping manage and update the custom content page now (since I'm doing a bad job of it).

Congrats on the promotion, Dozen!

I think I'm failing to understand why you think it's so insulting to make something based on another person's work. Isn't imitation the sincerest form of flattery? I mean, as long as we give credit to the original design (Which is actually more the creator of material_m than any of us), what's the beef?

Then again, I think we could both taking this a bit too seriously for our own good!
It isn't flattery, it's abuse. That isn't bad, inherently. Like I said, it's only regrettable when you have the chance to ask, with the possibility of a positive response. What you did with the music you got for the Uchioniko, for instance, is perfectly fine. Morally, at least, and that's all I give about copyrights.
nothing is an original idea all ideas are based upon and hopefully improve upon an earlier work but it is still nice to ask before doing so. that is a cool effect i wish i could do something similar with yoko ps i would be honored if someone stole one of my ideas though the only thing ive ever created that was even half decent would be maeda
@Dozen
Sorry, I'm afraid I don't have the psd file, all I do is save the png and work with the same file. Ehehe. Thanks though!

@Marrend
I know it's not scaled down, I'll do that after I go over tiny details that bug me. (Bit of OCD towards graphic work)

And I'd be flattered if anyone based a character on mine. So long as they share credit for the idea. :) Plus, the hair is nothing special, just a bit of blur and smudge.
