There is now a website you can use to share your custom content with other users! But you're still welcome to use this page to share and discuss content.
Below is a list of finished custom (user-made) content. To add these characters, in most cases you can extract the downloaded file to the game's main directory and you're set. Depending on how the author has organized them, it may be necessary to move files to the appropriate directories. (Custom content has not been tested by me)
Note: After new content has been added, old saves won't be compatible.

Helpful things:
--> Medium build girl, the .psd that was used to create the built-in characters, is available with layer names in English.
--> Not feeling artistic? You can use any of these images for making custom characters.
--> Notepad++ with syntax highlighting for Heartache 101 can be a big help with story creation.

Personally speaking, I was literally thinking something like:
PRIORITY = ID# AFFECTION
Where the priority of the event rises as the affection level of the character that matches the ID# rises. For example, if the character is at DISLIKE, that makes the event nigh-impossible to get, since the character is specifically avoiding the player out of sheer hatred/frustration/whatever. On the other hand, if the character is at LOVESICK, the character is actively seeking the player ("I... I want to be with you!"), and the event is nigh-impossible to avoid. Some flavor like that. I'm not sure how complicated that is to implement, though. That's flowerthief's field, not mine.
However, since we must work with what we have (at least until things change), then making a high-priority "normal" event with normal-priority repeatable follow-ups might be the only viable solution. Saying that, I'm rather interested in seeing what would allow the story file to be smaller rather than larger!

using those commands you could pull something like that off have dislike and unfriendly but not nuetral as low priority nuetral and friendly as regular and love and love sick as high
It's not complicated. I meant that looking after someone in a single building is hard enough. It's a frickin' town. Is she stalking him or something?
And about that file size thing? Marrend, please. I study programming. Corner cuts this simple are covered in Middle School 1st grade!:) Hell, I'd get reprimanded if I ever wrote the same lines twice. Just give it to me after you've implemented Triad's idea!

Well, I thought it was a neat idea.
*softly crying in the corner*
Anyway, I'm going with triad's suggestion of making a copy of the repeatable events having a high priority, but only happen once. However, either I'm blind, stupid, or I do not know what this technique is that will make this happen while making her story file smaller than it already is. The only way I see it happening is copy-pasting in each repeatable event, then changing each of the copied events REPEATABLE = YES line to PRIORITY = HIGH. Is there another way to do this that I'm totally ignorant of?

Yes, there is, but then again why am I here? To just tell you? Nah. Just do what you can and I'll crush it as small as a compact .rar library would!:D It's easier for us this way, believe me.
My reading comprehension must have hit the negative numbers, as I no longer have a clue what you're talking about. Are you talking about a very efficient method of coding these events (Of which I still cannot, for the life of me, see how it would be done), or using WinZip/WinRAR for file compression?
*tries desperately not to rage with frustration*
*tries desperately not to rage with frustration*
Of course I'm talking about efficient coding! What, you can't compress files? Did you give each file you made piece by piece to flowerthief? I don't think so!
...Are you alright out there? Have some sleep, you must be tired. I'm not even joking. Go and have a nap at least:(
...Are you alright out there? Have some sleep, you must be tired. I'm not even joking. Go and have a nap at least:(
I'm not 100% sure that there isn't a more efficient way of doing this, but here's the basic idea:

Anyway, that doesn't mean I won't help. Just give it and we'll see what I can do.

I first met Masako during my first year at Matsumori when I joined the debate club there.
There was this one time our advisor set the whole club against her. I thought it wasn't fair, and offered to help her. She politely refused my help.
UNFRIENDLY
On the day of the debate, she totally trounced us.

Can you imagine? One person against seven? That's just nuts!
I'm telling you, I learned the <b>true</b> meaning behind the phase, "Don't mess with Mitsuya" that day, I can tell you!
# Had to throw that in there.
NEUTRAL
There was this other time that Masako was making a point, something clicked in my head, and both of us said, at the exact same time mind you, "But that's just wrong!"
There was a moment of silence afterward. From that, the debate club made up another saying "When Mitsuya and Umehara agree, there is no return."
Anyway, since that moment, we've been good friends.

Indeed. I've no doubt that one may be able to find her in the children's park.

Marrend please do not take this as criticism but you might want to think about putting a condition 15 done in story 15 so that it doesn't happen out of context ( I had that happen with one of my jumps in Maeda
Yes, that's what I thought myself. Good work!:) It basically serves the same purpose as a macro; you just define it the other way around than in C, Java and most languages. Now that I think about it, this way it's a lot more easier to understand and see through. I'm lazy to do the math right now, but it might consists of less code as well. The big guys could learn a lot from RPG Maker and flowerthief!
You've done almost everything. You should replace the 252th line with CONDITION = 15 DONE (as triad pointed it out, apparrently) and can get rid of some erase center commands, but that's about it. After the boss comes back I hope he will have time to discuss some new commands so to ease the work on the prototype. It'd be plenty boring to mimic generic events in all of their glory; maybe we can do something about that. And I don't mean just him, if he doesn't have the time, then I maybe he'll let me get my dirty little hands the source code?

Heya peeps :) I'm not back yet; a friend is letting me use his computer to go online today.
About a rating system...
Well, I am not the biggest fan of rating systems, but the simpler it is the more open I'd be to the idea.
I've watched how the Little Big Planet system has evolved. In LBP 1 you could rate levels on a scale of 1 to 5. In LBP2 they changed it to either a smily face ("thumbs up") or a frowny face ("thumbs down"). Later they removed the frowny face. So now when you rate a level in LBP2 you either give it a smily face or you don't rate it at all. And imo the developers had good reasons for changing it to be that way.
Anyway, I think we have plenty of time to think about this. There is not that much custom content yet to make a rating system desperately needed.
About designing custom generic events...
You want something like this, right?
PLACE = City
also...
PLACE = School
No problemo. In fact, I'm not entirely sure this isn't already implemented in some form. (It might be one of those feature like repeatable events that I built into the system without telling anyone and then forgot about :P) At any rate, I'll make sure it's there when I get back. I definitely agree that it's cumbersome to be having to copy and paste those events over and over.

How about:
CONDITION = 3 DONE OR 5 DONE OR 7 DONE OR 9 DONE OR 11 DONE OR 13 DONE
This CONDITION line makes more sense to me, as the player would see the high-priority events before the normal-priority repeatable events.
Or, I could see if this "PLACE = City" that flowerthief popped in to mention is already a function we can use. That would make things hilariously easy.

author=flowerthiefYeah, that was because there are lots of people out there with bad judgement and trolls who piss on everything they come by. We don't have those around here; this voting sys is restricted to the community. I can't see any harm being done, unless a grudge ensues.
And imo the developers had good reasons for changing it to be that way.

And that Place = City/School command sounds really fun; though it does nothing to solve the problem in question. If I interpret it right, this should allow a random, custom meeting over the entire town; what we need is a usual generic encounter you have in school in a variety of different places.
I think the language in seiras story is getting a little bad is that a problem i can edit it way down after i'm done i'm doing a good job staying away from the fbombs
Some swear words are acceptable. I don't think anyone would be enough of a bigot to object, and frankly if someone does we aren't likely to give a shit. Just don't use the same term over and over; that's boring regardless of vulgarity.
Running out of ways to say ouch? That's new.
