Helpful things:

--> Medium build girl, the .psd that was used to create the built-in characters, is available with layer names in English.

--> Kudos to SparkleFox for finding us a male tachie generator, authored by "彩 雅介" (Aya Mayabaikai?)! This one is put together as a program, but has PSD files with layer-names in Japanese. No "fan-translation" available at this time.

--> You can use any of these images for making new custom characters.

--> Notepad++ with syntax highlighting for Heartache 101 can be a big help with story creation. To set it up, go to the View menu and set User Defined Language to HeartAche. Then close View, go to the Language menu and select HeartAche. (If you already have Notepad++, here's userDefineLang.xml by itself)

--> Mr. Help File has, regrettably, forgotten to mention certain locations! They are as follows:
Beach (sunset), Grounds (sunset), Roof (sunset), Bedroom (Morning), Downtown, Studio Room.
Note that these locations must be specified via a PLACE command. To the best of my (ie: Marrend's) knowledge, they cannot be obtained via the generic "School" or "City" code.

Any progress? What have you tried?
Just managed it. This should work, if it doesn't I'll look into some converters. Still, even if it doesn't play for him, it will for everyone else who doesn't have the same problem. Uploading now...


Not sure if it was at the same link, but I re-downloaded it from there and got it to work. Thanks very much. I will add it to her folder and re-upload it later today.

Oh, also, I have some ideas to improve the dialogue at points, if I may.

That would allow one to have the sound of ringing bells play, or the sound of typing be made, or the sound of a hit, or the sound of doors.. you get the idea. One-time sound as the SOUND command, and allow multiple music files to play at once.

I'd like to know if anybody has gotten an event with Masako or Uchioniko that has a CONDITION = X DONE line in it in respect to Clean Mode. The last two times I ran either of those in Clean Mode, I got the initial intro events and... not much else.

Changing the MUSIC command like that would affect existing content. Maybe a new command for sounds that loop...

Just finished setting up the translation into the game txts, after I get some sleep (Arrived from work awhile ago, and it's 4am here) I'll make a little test run and probably Eliza will arrive this sunday, maybe today.
I plan to make one CG scene or two, but I'll let it for a kind of far future update, I don't want to risk leave my girl lost on the HD again :p

Ps. Not something that actually can be called a bug but, I've downloaded Noriko and the 'norikos_theme.mp3' is missing the ' so the game coudn't find her theme at first. :p

I don't think I necessarily mind it. However, if it's just one custom content pack that's doing that kind of voice-over, it's going to be weird.

Eliza has a different eye style and color than Eminako. So, in that anime-logic way, she is totally a different person.

*Edit: Also, personality differences. Probably. It's been a while since I've played with Eliza, and I don't think I've played with Eminako at all?
Have I ever stated Eminako's personality?

Lol, Eminako seems a lot more her sister than Alessa, even the pose and skirt are the same. (Alessa as a more energic person dyed her hair blonde and use blue contacts)
But Eliza got her Cat-Yellow eyes, and she's known for being an unfriendly rationalist so is nearly impossible to she smile like that. x3

I'm glad we have mental notes because change girls names can be dangerous, specially when we're talking about Eliza... :3

Now, a little more seriously, I was planning about some custom parts for Eliza to make she look more alike the original one, but I don't think that will be ready anytime soon. Anyway, as Marrend stated, in anime logic it's still fine this way :3

About the voice overs: Yeah, that's the bad side of them, It make things a little inconsistent, and I highly doubt that people will be eager about the trouble to find a good voice over (even with I having a few more to rip from the PSP) and edit the whole TXTs to add them.
On the good side it breaks the music only on the events, and the voices add some characterization, and the effects flow to the scene without requiring more movement commands or CGs that seems almost impossible to a mortal make btw.
Tbh, I don't have much idea about the extent that you guys are using the Sound command as I don't want to peek around the stories without actually playing them, but I guess that at least some effects for the steps, school bells, punches or whatsoever that's happening around our crowded little school should be kept. ^^

Edit: PS. Got some weirdo bug on my PC after installing Fraps this morining, so I'm checking registry, backups, making a few scans here and there, It may delay things a bit.

One custom content pack with voices would be a little inconsistent, yeah, but I still think you should go for it. They add character and break the monotony of only music. Of course, voices will also extend release for quite a while..

I can't predict exactly how much it will delay the release but it shouldn't be too much if my job don't get on the way, like it done several times with other mods, I also found a great, traceable, image so if I'm lucky I'll manage a average quality CG to one of the last events *-*

Teheh, Eliza's voicer Franca from V.C.2 is twenty years old, but her lines and tone gives the serious tone fits the LoneWolf character. :3

Last but not Least, I've made a few changes on Eliza's tachie, so she's not Eminako's twin sister anymore xD

Added a little more hair, and changed the skirt to short to match ones of built-in's and her freinds, however aware of the shortness and tsubasa's incident, she decided to wear a trousers under it... :p
