Revision time!

While it's certainly beyond the point of mattering (at least as far as event judgement is concerned), I'm thinking of making revisions to this game. The first and foremost of these revisions is a closer look-see at the game balance. I've a working theory about what I could do in my head, and I'll probably be doing some testing of this idea by tomorrow.

The art that NOACCEPTANCE772 generously provided is going to replace the title screen. As much as I will miss the one I made myself, I respect what NOACCEPTANCE has done. Proper credit will also be given in the game Manual that nobody reads.

I also never really liked the map where players meets Victor for the last time. It just doesn't feel like a cliff edge to me. Saying that, I have no clue what I can do given just the VX RTP.

Not sure what else I can revise, given my skills. If anyone has a helpful suggestion, this is the time to make it!

Current battle testing suggest that the last boss can be defeated at level 10. I'm not sure about how much experience each critter should give yet, but ending the game at level 10 (or thereabouts) sounds more appropriate for the game's length. However, I don't want to totally cut off players that enjoy grinding for experience to get more interesting abilities. Not sure at what level I want to make the cut-off when new abilities stop being learned, though.
I highly doubt anyone enjoys grinding the VX DBS.

Also if you want to give somewhat of the impression of a dream, grinding is anti-dream if anything is.
I'd think about balancing the battles a bit more. Chana's right, dreams rarely involve excessive fighting (Unless its some horrible nightmare) If you want to keep the amount of battles, at least make them more interesting and fun to play. Add some twists to the DBS, or to the enemies to make them more challenging strategically to defeat.

Doing something interesting with the DBS sounds like the kind of thing I'd want to do for this game. I'm unsure of what kind of "interesting" I can come up with, though. As for the commentary about having fewer battles, I do intend to remove most of the encounter events from the maps that have them. The level cap on ability learning is, as of the current coding, 15. However, that could change depending on what kind of crazy idea I can come up with to make things more interesting.

I kinda want to return to working on Arbiters From Another World, though. I have no idea if I'll even get another idea for this game, to be honest. Only one way to find out, I suppose!
