Ancient Tower only needs to have the event that leads into the boss fight polished off, playtested, and all that good stuff. However, it's my intention to make a release of this game during the events at Yoemon. Mostly because it's the stuff after Yoemon that causes a lot of headaches for me.

The other thing I'm considering is making better stuff available sooner. Such as after defeating the Fire Spirit in the desert. There will still be even better stuff available after the events at Ancient Tower are complete, but having things spaced out like this more seems appropriate.

I'd like to see a release of this game happen before the 20th of this month. Not just because that's my birthday though that does have something to do with it, but we shall see how things flow.

I've changed some things, and am in the process of doing a from-scratch playtest with what I've got. If there is interest and I'm totally not hinting at anything here, I could upload what I have thus far for beta-testing purposes. Multiple sets of eyes are always better than one set!

As a personal aside, I'm beginning to think that there needs to be something done with Yokoki. The non-classroom maps are pretty devoid of people, which was done on purpose. However, that only accentuates that there's nothing of interest on those maps. That's not technically a problem, as Yokoki isn't as an important/centralized location as Matsumori was in Matsumori Days (Go figure!), but I'm thinking that having some flavor tiles here and there might make things more bearable.

For those interested in testing: I've updated the download. The game should be good up to the Ancient Tower, but if it isn't, I'd certainly like to hear about it. Notes may be left here under a hide tag, or may be PMed to me directly. If you choose to PM me, please indicate that it's about Arbiters From Another World. I'm not going to point fingers, but I've been getting some PMs of late, and I haven't the slightest clue what the sender is talking about!

My latest playthrough is complete! I altered buffs and debuffs to have messages when they are applied. This helps identify what's going on, as debuffs can "miss", whereas buffs are always applied. I may have altered the mapping in a few places, which may mean that players that pick up where they left off may have to do something with one's Beacon locations.

Anyway, I was writing up the boss sequence at the top of Ancient Tower. I suspect that I may have written in quite a bit of "Marrendelicious humor" during certain portions. However, as much as I may want to show that off, my next release will definitely have content up until Yoemon. Which would, technically, include the boss fight at the top of Ancient Tower.

Game saves between the current version and the next version should be compatible if players just want to experience the new stuffs. Like I mentioned before, some maps have been altered. Nothing terribly drastic, mind you, but checking out one's Beacon to see where it places you might be appropriate!
The beacon feature would be awesome. Buffs and debuff feature is great to. You know I like me some ol Marrendelicious humor to!
