"Five years ago, I told myself that I’d never set foot in this building again. And yet, here I am."

Five years ago, mankind came in contact with an otherworldly force known as the outsiders whose very existence corrodes the integrity of reality around it. Efforts to study and contain the incursion resulted in failure. Now that it threatens to spill out of quarantine and begin infecting the rest of the world, it's time to change strategies.

You play as Lily, who "volunteers" to help combat the otherworldly threat. Equipped with an experimental new device which allows her to plunge her consciousness into the underside of the world, the native home of the outsiders, she must now venture into the lab where they were first encountered and confront them directly. No one knows what she may find there, in a place sealed away from the rest of the world for five years and inhabited by the unfathomable existence of the outsiders.

LTC is an experiment into novel techniques in artificial intelligence. In the game, the player is assisted by three AI-controlled allies, each of which has a defined personality and role in battle. The AI communicate intentions, tactics, and objectives to each other and to the player in order to facilitate cooperation.

The player can speak to their allies in battle to communicate objectives, which they will respond to and adjust their actions accordingly. Similarly, one of the player's allies may devise a plan of attack and communicate it to the player to encourage them to help execute it. The goal is to create a natural co-op experience where the player works with the AI as part of a team, as if they were controlled by real people.

Looks interesting. How hard is it to program with Unity 3d?

It depends on your programming background. Compared to other game engines, it's pretty easy, but if your only experience is in eventing, then it's going to be quite a jump. How easy it is depends on how good you are at structuring and planning your code. If you do a shoddy job of it, making a game will be a nightmare.
