3. Ultimate Items Guide
=============================

Towards the end of the game You will want to collect at least some
of the Legenary equipment. This will make the final bosses more bearable.
Most of the Legendary Items are obtained through side quests, but you
will get a couple along the way on the main story.

You receive this for winning the Kelron Arena tournament.
(Note: The tournament starts after you obtaining the Alexander)

Fly to the small snowy island southwest of Senabar City. Get in 5 random encounters while on the world map. On the 5th a boss enemy, Krobulas will appear. Defeat her for the Crystalis.(Note: The tournament starts after you obtaining the Alexander)

| Hyperion | 2-Hand Spear |
------------------------------
This is found inside the Sunken temple. To get to the Sunken Temple you must
become a Master Treasure hunter (100 Chests Found). Than you can access the
master Treasure hunters room, there you can speak with Meghellian. He will tell
you about the under water temple, and give you Builders Monthly vol.5! You
will need this to create some Air Tanks, which will allow you to breath under
water. I recommend trying to Make four, one for each character.

When your ready to begin talk to Meghellian again, and he will take
you too the underwater temple. After the boat get crushed in the whirlpool the party will sink to the bottom of the sea. Once inside the underwater temple, right right. Follow the path to the next room. In the new room head to the right first and follow the path to find a treasure chest. Retrace your steps and then take the exit on the left. Now you will be in a room with a single button towards the top wall. Pushing the button will summon Poseidon who will wish to "test your strength". Beat him for Hyperion.

| Zephyr | Bow |

Zephyr Is found in the Ice cave, where you obtained Shiva. Once you have the
Heaven't Lense you can shine it on the glowing spot to reveal a new path.
You will have to solve another Ice block puzzle. After that you will fight
Sindergosa an Ice Serpant. Take him down with Fire spells. Be careful he will try
to confuse your entire party. Once you beat him he will drop Zephyr.

| Deathbringer | 2-Hand Axe |
-------------------------------
This is probably the most powerful weapon in the game. You can attempt to
get Deathbringer right after killing the Reaper, in the Tar'gen Ruins. At this
point in the game your party will probably be too weak. So I recommend comming back
for it later. To get it follow the stairs all the way down to the bottom floor.
There is a scroll warning adveturers not to enter, ignore that. Go through the
arrow trap room. In the next you will have to guide an orb into the unlit torch.
I suggest saving it here before going on. You will meet General Visimo's ghost,
as he tried to get Deathbringer when he was conquering Tar'gen a long time ago.
You are going to have to fight him. He is fairly easy. Enter the next room, In
here you will see Deathbringer and a peice of armor laying on the ground.
When you approach them you will awaken the Four horseman. This is one of the
Harder fights in the game, You are essentially fighting 4 bosses at once.
Apply regen to all your heros, spam AOE debuffs, and than just nuke them
as fast as you can. Good luck.

| Savior | Staff |

Savior cannot be accquired until after you deafet the Behemoth inside of the
Regulis's Pryamid. (Refer to the Paroh's Headress guide to get to this point.)
After deafeting Behemoth, you will be sucked into the swirling patrol, that does
not at all look like a Chrono Trigger portal. You will be warped to another
dimension. Simply jump into the small portals to warp to differnt platforms. Start
by heading through the right portal. Go straight and enter the 2nd portal. Continue walking through the small segments until you reach a fork in the road. Do not take the portal to the north, continue down the path and you'll reach savior.

| Gengi Armor |

The Gengi Armor is another reward for defeating the Four Horseman boss.
(Note: Refer to the guide on Deathbringer for more information.)

| Oracle's Vest |
-------------------
Head to Mesotia forest located on the south-eastern part of the world map. Once inside follow the path. When the path splits on the second screen head south. Continue south, until you see opening in the west side of the forest. you will find a glowing light here, step on it and use the Heaven's Lense. Then continue south. Talk to Oracle standing in the center of the screen, she will give you a challenge. Sylander will accept her challenge and start hallucianting on some smelling salts. You have to count the number of blue butterflies Sylander sees. She will repeat this challenge three times. (spoilier) The first time there are 5 butterflies, then there are 7 butterflies, and finally there will be 13 butterflies. When successfully completed she will reward you with the Oracles Vest.

| Viper Suit |
----------------
To Viper suit is dropped off the final boss of the Water resivour side quest.
Start off by going to the Careni Mountains. Pass by the Miners house, and on
the next screen you will find the entrance to a cave. Inside the cave I recommend
saving the game. Make sure to save in a seperate slot in case you get stuck.
Click on the Ferry and follow her to the next room. She will lead you too
trap and you will drop to a narrow passage. Use your pick to break the rocks
that are in your way. In the next room there is another boulder crossing puzzle
It is fairly simple. Just move the lone boulder to jump across to a different
quadrant. You are going to want grab the chest in this room right now, because
after you defeat the boss, this room will be filled with water and unreachable.
After getting to the bottom right quadrant move to the next room. Click on
one of the boulders to iniate the boss cut-scene. The fight is pretty easy
after a little while the fariy girl will summon her Mom Ursula. Both the Fairy
Girl and her MoM are weak to Ice and Wind. After beating them, Ursula will
drop the Viper Suit. The party will be pushed through the ceiling by a torrent
of water and you will land at the resivour near Sabu Village. Make sure to take
to some of the Villagers as they may offer rewards for restoring their water
supply.

| DragonBane |
----------------
DragonBane and be accquired after Charging the Heaven's Lense at the star location
on top of Mt. Careni. Fly to the Surge Stones on the small island North of Waldor
Castle. Your goal will than be to collect 50 Dragon Scales. You can find Scales
scattered all over, and will also drop off any dragons you kill in this zone.
Once you have 50 Dragon Scales, walk over to Gerok City. Goto the blacksmith in
the upper left land side of the city. Once inside the building, You will find
Baldimer stanind in the top center. He offers to make you some armor after
you collect 50 Dragon Scales. Give him the scales and receive DragonBane.

| Magisters Crown |

Head back to the watering hole in Napoi village. A new NPC will be standing at the bar. Talk to him, to reveal his secret. he will tell you there is another entrance to the Green Bandana's hideout. Head to Krolos city. Enter the collector's house, and make your way to the trap door in the back. Now you will play a mini-game where you must navigate a raft. You can collect two extra chests if you take the correct paths. Eventually land on the back side of the jail cells. Make your way to the ladder. Climb down the ladder and use the heaven's Lense. Walk across the logs and hit the switch to lower the water level. Walk down the stairs and into the next room. Manipulate the water level to collect the chest and crate. In the next room you must defeat the hydra, succeed and you will earn the Magister's crown.

| Insanity Circlet |

After fully charging the Heaven's lense at all three power sources. Goto Gurtel
Temple. Head right once you get in the door, and stand on the podium. Use
the Heaven's Lense to open the gate. Go up the stairs to find a patroling Wyvern.
Run into him to engage the boss fight. The Ancient Wyvern will try to make all
characters beserk so It would be wise to equip somthing to prevent beserk on at
least Kuth. After defeating him you will reveive the Insanity Circlet.

| Paroh's Headress |
---------------------
The Paroh's Headress can be obtained right after picking of the Heaven's lense.
In that same room, use the Lense on the glowing spot. This will open the
force field. You may want to save the game before advancing. Because the Next
Boss will be quite difficult at this point in the game. Go in the next Room
you will beinside that crazy psychodelic room with the behemoth. Walk up to
him and Engage him. He is a strong physical damage hitter. In addition he
is resistant to all types of elemental magicl. You can still cast Arcane and
holy spells if you choose too. After deateting him you will receive the
Paroh's Headress.

(Note: After killing the behemoth a portal will open, for help with this area
refer to the Savior guide.)

| Divine Halo |
------------------

This first becomes available after acquiring the Heaven's lense. Go to the southern passage where you once had your coin purse stolen by the monkey. On your way through the long narrow passage you'll see a door on the right side. In the next room use the heaven's Lense to lower the force field. In the next room you'll fight the boss Gurona. Defeat him and claim your prize.

Head to Gerok City on the tiny Island that has the Surge stones. Follow the
past that leads to the right of the city. Once you are on the outside of the
city fence heard north to the forested area. Find the note that is laying on
the ground. It was written by a Waldor general requesting more help defending
the Dragon attacks. Take the note back to the King in Waldor Castle. He will
than give you premission to go to his royal quarters. To get there simply
take the stairs that are in the lower right hand corner of the throne room.
The guards will now let you in too the kings bedroom. There you will find Guardian.

| Colossus |
---------------

Getting Colossus requires you to win the Kelron Arena tournament first. After winning the tournament head up the stairs on the right side of the arena basement. Take the door outside at the bottom of this room. Take the stairs into the special VIP room for tournament winners. The guards will now let you through. Talk to the old man sitting near the back. He will tell you a story of how his friend was eaten by a giant sand worm. Accept his quest, he will give you a Red Band. Equip the Red band on one of your characters, note this character is going to be eaten at the beginning of the boss fight so choose wisely. Now head outside and fly to the nearby desert, once you land you should see a dust cloud moving around on the world map. Engage the cloud to start the fight. After deafeting the Giant
sand worm return to the old man to receive Colossus.

(1) First fly to Scilia island, and go visit the collector in Krolos. Use your
awesome Bargening skill to get the Mirrior from him, It is going to Cost
~6500 Gold. Don't worry it is wroth your hard earned gold trust me. Next fly
to Hillshire Mansion. Go to the second floor of the mansion and talk to
Sir Snider. He will be interested in your Mirrior, because he collects antiques.
He will give you a key too his old house in Vardaeux Village. So fly there after
getting the Key. His house is in the bottom center of the village. In one of the
chests you will find a Ribbon.

(2) The ghost of General Visimo also drops a Ribbion.
(Note: Refer to The Deathbringer guide on how to get too him.)

(1) A Glowing Amulet Drops off of Runeblaze on the top of Scilia Volcano.
(Note:For more information on how to get too Him refer too Phenoix side quest
in the main walkthrough.)

(2) After Defeating Bahamut, seek out a lady staying in the Inn at Gerok. She
will be so happy you slayed the Dragon King, that she will reward you with a
glowing Amulet.
(Note: For more information on Defeating Bahamut refer too the Bahamut side
quest in the main walkthrough.)

You can buy this Builders Monthly from the Collector in Krolos. It will cost
you about ~1700 gold, to get it from his grasp. It is possible to get this
builders Monthly before the first one if you grinded alot of monsters.

This one is inside a chest in Torten City. The chest is right near the blacksmith,
but you will need to go around the long way. Head to the bottom left hand side
of the map and navagate the trees to get to the chest.

You can find volume 4 in Regulis's pyramid. After getting the Heaven's Lense.
Go back to the room divided down the center vertically. Use the Lense on the
lighted spot. Go up the stairs in that chest you can find volume 4.

--------------------------
To get Builders Monthly v.5 you will need to become a Master Treasure hunter.
This means finding at least 100 treasure chests! Once you have done that
visit the man at the desk to get your Masters member card. Now you can
access Meghellian's quaters just pass the bar on the second floow of the
Treasure hunters guild headquarters. Simply talk to Meghellian and he will
give you this Builders Monthly.
