Ohh! I love this so much! I don't like the shadow overlap, however. It's to prominent.

Yeah I agree. Shadows from opaque objects do not add, something is either occluded or it's not.

You're actually wrong. You can see shadows overlap. The object which is closer to the surface that the shadow is cast on has a stronger shadow. Objects that cast shadow to the same surface but are further cast also a shadow on the area, but it's not necessarily as strong, and you can still see the shadow of the object which is closer to the surface on top of it...

Not saying that the shadows look natural in the screenshot though.
Welp, I stand corrected D: But yeah, that makes sense thinking about it now.
Right, but wouldn't the shadow be on top of the tree? So long that the trees are shorter than the house?
The grass underneath the trees seem a tad bit unnatural here. Not entirely sure if that was supposed to be the case.

In spite of that though I find this map to be really, really gorgeous, as a lot of your other maps have proven to be.

Part of the issue is my overlay technique, this is back in some of my early work, and I was sloppy and inconsistant with how my bottom and top layers were built. this was causing double layers, which made shadows too dark, and colors too saturated. hense, the dark ass shadows, and puke green neon grass.
