When John woke up that day, everything was quiet... Maybe a little too quiet. John hurried to school, but there was no one there... What happened to everyone? Where did they go?

Eternal Sorrow: The Game is the video game adaptation of Eternal Sorrow. (I made it up, so if there's really something called Eternal Sorrow, this game is not an adaptation of that.) You play as John, the only person who hasn't suddenly disappeared, and you have to go through the school to find out what happened.

This is my submission for RMN's 5 Year Anniversary, so don't expect too much from the game! I split my 5 hours of development as follows:

1.5 Hours - Graphics (I spent way too much time on this)
1.5 Hours - Mapping (Also spent too much time here)
1.5 Hours - Events (I didn't have enough time left...)
0.5 Hours - Testing

I seem to be missing a 'Graphics/Windowskins/001-Blue01' file and it won't let me play otherwise. I'm pretty sure the XP RTP is on my computer, so I don't think it's that.
That's strange I just kept the default windowskin when I made the game. I uploaded it for now here:

Oh the "-" got removed when I uploaded it.
Dudesoft
always a dudesoft, never a soft dude.

XD this is my sort of game.
Okay, got it.
Turned out I had an "older" version of the XP RTP installed. Sorry for the hassle.

I like how the protagonist has the Onizuka (pre-GTO) haircut.
Figured I would give this game a try, and I enjoyed it quite a lot, given how short and simple it is. :) Made a quick little Let's Play of it, should anyone want to see it.

I think you got the link wrong, but I was curious so I found it here:

Thanks for making the Let's Play. It was fun to see someone else play my small game.
