Check: Chapter Two
The Holy Bishop
Sky and Apple have received a strange chess piece from an Empire General named Zarmen, and have escaped their hometown of Yuita under pursuit of Empire troops. Confused as to what this all means, they travel to the town of Ecuij, a liberal city of the rich whom see the Empire as tyrants, as they look for answers and refuge.

This is the second chapter of a multi-chapter saga named Check. Any save file from the first chapter CAN be carried over to Chapter Two, however a previous save file is not needed. The game can be played as a new game, starting from the beginning of Chapter Two.

Transferring save file from Chapter One to Chapter Two
It's really simple.
Look inside your folder for chapter one, and find the 'Save01.rvdata2' file (The '01' number represents what save file it was saved to; if it's 01 it will be the first save file. If you saved to the second file in Chapter One, you would want to take the 'Save02.rvdata2', for example).
Take this file, place it inside your Chapter Two folder, and play the game as normal (But choose Continue rather than New Game).
The game will ask you to save once again before returning to the title screen. Once again, select continue and choose the save file you just saved to, and Chapter Two will begin.

Just as last time, the credits are included in a text file within the download.
Game is now available, thanks to anyone who plays! ^_^
Notice: There's been a few people having issues extracting the game from this websites download. It's worked for 99% of people, if you're downloading for the first time, go ahead and do it from this site. However, if for some odd reason it doesn't work, I've zipped the game rather than using RMVXACE's compiler, and you can download it from the MediaFire link below:

In Chapter Two she learns a new spell that changes your DEF to protect against physical attacks for three turns.

I have a question.
How do you proceed trough the tower after getting two statues on their respective pentagram? Nothing seems to happen and I think I've been to every place in that tower.

I beat chapter 2.
The banter between the characters is as before, the best part of the game. You did a good job at getting a third character into it and it was always amusing to see whenever she became the third wheel.
A lot of other stuff needs work though. Loading the save at the end of the first game didn't work, the game would just end after I loaded it. I had to resort to an earlier save, which fortunately was just a few steps away from the end of the game save prompt. However, not everyone keeps multiple save files.
Pushing statues down a hole resulted in a ridiculously long wait time. The first time that happened, I thought I had encountered an event error.
The special moves effects are a bit wonky. First you see a message popping up that says that the move has no effect and then the characters execute a move that actually does something. Get rid of the "no effect" message. Also, I don't think Fire II should have this sort of effect, it's a spamable move. Finally, the "no effect" move can miss, which looks rather funny.
Other than that, the areas are of the right length and the encounter rate is about right. Encountering two gargoyles is a bit annoying though.

I tested that quite a few times; when you continue the imported save file, it should return you to the title screen once after asking you to save again. Then when you continue again, it should start chapter two. However, maybe I need to look into that. I made a mistake in chapter one that made it... Difficult to transfer the save file, so it wouldn't surprise me if there was still an existing problem. I'll check it out. (It IS sorted for Chapter three, I've tested it and it works. ^_^)
I'm not sure how to get rid of the no effect message. I do know how to program, just not in RGSS XD Again, I'll look into it for chapter three. And the statues wait time was unavoidable. Ish. I can think of a way round it, but I wanted to keep things simple, in order to *avoid* event errors XD

Either way, I know what you mean, there are a lot of pauses. There were times when I thought I was overdo-ing it myself. But the games strongest point is the dialogue, so I wanted it to be the best presented I could possibly do.

So unless your writing is spot on and perfect to everyone, someone who doesn't give a shit will probably not like your game and rage quit.
If you ever think you are overdoing something like that, odds are you are severely overdoing it. I mean pauses are fine, but really really really really really please don't make 6000 pauses in a set of dialogue. I can't stress how much rage that gives me! :) I am pretty sure I am not the only one who has problems with this.

You've got a good point, I suppose. But anyone who doesn't give a shit probably wouldn't like my game anyway. The gameplay itself isn't anything out of the ordinary or different, and the banter between the characters would make them ragequit anyway, pauses or not. XD
