Sacred Mana is a new RPG that takes you to a very pursuasive story. Like Final Fantasy, Sacred Mana includes a good background, with a side view of the battle system and nice skill animations. The fighting doesn't get boring, and it keeps you playing.

This game is playable for about 10 hours. It start where your 4 heroes - Ralph, Shane, Ylva and Wolf - go on a mission that was given by the King himself. Eventually, you will have to go save the princess. How, what, where and who happened will be told in this great RPG.

This is still my 1st RPG and plz remember and did the best I could.

The new demo features a lot of new things.
You can play about 2 hours, 2 different prestories of the game.

Approved due to your steady growth - the maps are getting better and better. Just a few things from what I noticed:

I think it's cool to use grassy exteriors to your houses, but you should probably add a few trees and other decorations to make it seem part of the environment, or go with an all-black background.

The cave/sewers are much improved; I would add a few rocks or some mechanical elements to the walls and floors to add detail, and also fix up some of the crack alignments. The two-tile-high cracks are tricky; if I use the bottom half, I normally place it on the tile closest to the ceiling so it looks like the crack goes into the ceiling. That way it doesn't clash as much.

The prison cells are nice and varied now, but I recommend reducing the hallway outside the cells by one row of tiles to make it a little tighter and less spacey.

You may need an outside proofreader to go over in-game dialogue. I didn't notice any major issues in the screenshot dialogue, but it's always good to make sure your scenes are polished by a word nerd :)

I suggest changing your main image to either the zoomed out world map or the marketplace - those are probably your two best screens right now IMO.
I like the game....I think.
Immediately after beating the very first monster, collecting my goodies etc,my guys turn and freeze at the wall before them. Game over.

Also looking for an outside proofreader.

Please let me know if any of the writing in the dialogues isn't correct.

Removed the demo, found some bugs.
Need to remove those first.

The new demo is up!!
Getting new version now. I started this today and its pretty fun. Lot of battles verse the same guys. But that mimic threw me off. Looking forward to going on some more.
EDIT: New demo seems to add new bad guys. :)
yes, and 2 new special skills for Ralph, since he didnt have anything.
Also added animated enemies.

The mimic I reduced a little, and added the option to escape.

Not to far in the story. I believe I just escaped the castle. So the story is just starting. Theres also a lot to explore. But do to often battles I dont go off the path. I wasnt sure if it was worth it. Is there treasure out there? Lol. Still games fun and that skeleton boss was a nice challenge.
yup, lots of treasure out on the world map. It's your if you can find them!

Terrible game. Very terrible. The maps are okay, the story I don't know but the balancing is a BIG problem. The enemies use poison and darkness, have high hp when fighting against them in lv 1. And you can't heal this before lv 3. The first boss is terrible bad balanced. You MUST grind to lv 4 or 5 or it's impossible. Fix this and I mightconsider to even play this again.

You're right, but every game start is challenging.
That's why I added skills and those Save/health points.
Hmm odd. I didnt find it horribly unbalanced. Early on your magic users should 1hit kill. I do agree that the heal skill should be beefed up a bit though.

I just took on the 1st boss, didnt have too much problems with him tbh.

I just got done playing through Sacred Mana and sent you a link via mail to the document I made listing errors in spelling and grammar. I also noted several general improvements which could potentially made, though I downloaded my version on the 24th so some of these suggestions may not apply to the newest version.

Also, I'm not sure if it has been fixed in 3.0, but there is a game-breaking bug in the prison where a noise startles the guards and one of them jumps into a wall, which in turn makes the game freeze up as the cutscene is unable to play out in full.

You see, every game don't start challenging.
Let's take a look at final fantasy 5 and 6 for example.
Here you finish battles in max two turns in the early game. The first boss in these
games only have one dangerous attack, and require a little tactic.

Also, the reason why I found this game unbalanced was that in the early game, you DO NOT use status effects like poison, blind without having a way to heal it exept for using limited healingthings or grind to lv 3 when you learn cure and at that point you don't need it more in the dungeon. Also, the red slimes. When you get back attacked you are done in lv 1 or 2.
The reason why you find the 1st boss easy may be that you use another tactic than me. This is another common mistake in games. Adding ONE specific way to kill a monster that noone other than the developer knows about. Yes, magic users one hit enemies which makesall other characters early useless.
Also, the enemies are much, much large than the battlers. I recommend you to change the graphics of them.

The only positive thing I know about until now is that you use tankentai kaduki.

It seems to me you downloaded a earlier version.
I recommend you download the current demo.

Ok got the newest demo and it seems most of my equipment is gone now. But the bad guys still die in two hits or so. But they only do about 1 damage if they even hit. Also walking on the map is real slow and choppy. Im about to head to the mountains and see if its harder there.

Yup, working on it now, also left out the huge worlmap, made it more traditional like in other rpgs, balanced out the mobs alot more, added some skills and weapons to them and made the bosses a fair challenge.
Adding the last of the game so the next upload will be the completed game.
It will be a short RPG, playable for like 10 hours.
And I hope it will be an inspiration for my next projext which will be on
RPG Maker VXAce.
