Announcing Mistress of the Wind

I'm very excited to announce the new direction we'll be taking Master of the Wind in! That is... Mistress of the Wind!
When Volrath and I were discussing revising the game we knew we'd be updating the graphics, story and gameplay. But it didn't feel like enough. We wanted to do something that would fundamentally differentiate the Remake from the original game.
Then we had a thought. What if we reversed the genders of Shroud and Stoic? We were instantly very excited about the idea of writing our dynamic duo as female characters. But it still didn't seem like enough. And then it hit us. What if we did it for ALL OF THE CHARACTERS!! A gender bender of global proportions the kind never seen before! And at that very moment Mistress of the Wind became a thing!
Not wanting to waste anytime, I asked Maki to draft up art for the main cast. She delivered the amazing piece you see above. From the left-to-right you can see our titular heroes TRANSFORMED into their male/female counterparts.
I hope you're all as excited as we are about Mistress of the Wind! I can't wait to hear your thoughts!

Darn, and I thought I was the first one. I even went all stealthy and PMed Artbane about it.
Either way, It's still a really nice logo that did really well to build up hype for. If it's really a fool, it's a shame it has to go to waste.

I realize the timing of this news is a bit unfortunate but it's no joke! We're both very interested in making Mistress of the Wind a reality. It sounds like we have the support of Tumblr and Deviant Art so I hope you guys support us too!

Though... There are some characters missing in that picture. Where's Laurence Hargrove, the psychic? Or Dani Kovak, the smug businesswoman? Solicia Darmanus, Rano Amni, Babsy Tanelorn, and Mistress Ketsa? The possibilities...
I can't wait to see the first demo. Great work, all of you!!!

Wait until you see the art for Maria and Dana the tiger! I'm pretty sure Gabriel Robin will be a popular one as well.

Personally, I'm looking forward to the new writing challenges that this presents. I know you might be thinking "Well, if the story is the same not much should change just because all the genders have been reversed," but there's more too it than that. The internet has taught me that female characters must be completely believable but also not have any flaws that could suggest bad things about women as a whole because, obviously, each individual female character is not just representing herself but representing ALL women. Catherine, Bonita and Finleigh have a lot of responsibility!
Well, at least you now no longer will have to worry about Emma. Now that she's become Emmet, you can write bad dialogue for him and no one can take offense if his characterization is not perfect. Because seriously, who would ever want to deny a male character the possibility of having flaws?

Fortunately, the gender swap is also in effect for the enormous amount of originally female characters in the game. So, congratulations men, your gender/just inclusion is officially a joke.
Seriously though, you should perhaps be aware that the idiocy of discrimination against women is a rather big theme in this game. And unless your sentence was really just a strange attempt at humour, throwing out such implied accusations towards the creators is nothing short of unfair and self-righteous.

I'm not an "MRA", and your cynical, condescending comments do not only completely miss the point, I also find them simply insulting. I can tolerate a lot, but I will not allow anybody to talk to me like that and associate me with movements or philosophies I have no sympathy for. Especially not a guy who truly seems to believe he is the Chosen One who knows the only ultimate truth and rightfully represents the women of this planet. This is the exact sort of thing I was talking about in the What Are You Thinking thread. You're actively hurting the very point of view you're trying to support by acting like a jerk. It comes off way more like you want to start fights than actually change anyone's minds (calling one of the most tolerant people on RMN an MRA, for example).
You're making the point so badly that you're detracting from it, and as someone who wants female characters to be taken more seriously and to be included more often, that's honestly really disappointing.
