Introduction
Nusakana is an open world RPG about fishing, adventures, friendship, and the dark secret of the titular island, set on a tropical island. It offers gameplay element from game such as Atelier series, our main inspiration, with open world element, though identical to western RPGs, is closer to JRPGs’ style of open world, emphasizes more on the freedom of how do you play the game, rather than what to explore inside the game.
Set in a world parallel to the 1950s. The world is just recovering from the great war, and political power from the north are seeking new land rich with natural resources to recover their loss in the war and rebuilding their torn country. Located in the southern hemisphere, Nusakana island is a budding tourist destination, while also rich in mana, a natural resources comparable to oil with magical properties required to summon the elements by the long, extinct magic users called the Elvan. Many people set sight on this island, and soon it is flooded with tourists, researchers, and shady figure alike.
In Nusakana you are playing as a nameless fisherman visiting Nusakana island. The goal is to uncover the island’s secret in 3 years. But 3 years is a long time (1080 days?), there’s so much free time to use for discovering what it offers to you. As a fisherman you can try to catch rare, legendary fishes. Or you can go on adventure around the island, discover its secrets in a subtle main story line we have included. You can choose an easy life of trading and settle down with the locals, then marry one of the village beauties after the island’s secret is uncovered, of course. You can even forget your goal and experience how bad the bad ending is. Everything is up to you, the player, how do you want the game to progress and end.
