I wonder if you could show the script to that? not as in share the script, just show what you changed to make it work that way! Since I always wanted to do this... >_<

There is an add-on for this effect. I made this based on Yanfly's and it works.

Simply, the mechanism is just darken the backgrounds (including battle background) and set them back to normal after the sequence ends.
