Hello everyone! Welcome to my review for Eremidia: Skyward Temple (Episode Zero). This game obviously has a lot of effort, love, and passion put into it! There are numerous wonderful art-works as well as character portraits made for this game! It has the one of the most fun and unique tactical combined with turn-based battle system in an RPG maker game ever! I thoroughly enjoyed the game and I'm sure that anyone else who'll play it will, too.

First Impressions:
The game already captured my attention the moment the prologue kicked in. The story and the way it was delivered through images was just fascinating! I can already see that this game is gonna be quite the ride, and I was not wrong!

Story:
The story may sound simple at first, like being a scout ordered by a weeping queen to rescue a lost King from the mysterious island, but it is actually well delivered and has great pacing. You can choose to play as a Veteran Old Man or an Apprentice Young Girl, which in my case, I picked the latter. You are accompanied by two experienced fighters/guardians Theo and Richter. (I assume that they are self-inserts of the devs, which is cool!). I really love the idea of being stuck in a dimensional rift that changes across every room you enter. The dialogues were sharp and did not fail to deliver any vital information that you will need to get to know the game more. I also love how you are able to interact with your own answers in every dialogue, immediately gives you the feel of giving your character his/her personality trait.

Gameplay:
This is the fun part. The battle system is just outstanding! It has elements of a tactical battle system as well as a CTB! The battle takes place in a platform where each tile is vital in defeating your foes. Positioning is key, and it is very well-designed. You must be careful not to move your characters on the wrong tiles though, as sometimes, it will leave your character in a vulnerable position where enemies can wreck havoc on you. I am still not sure how I should judge the difficulty, since I played it on normal mode. I also love the way you pick up loots in chests, very fancy! Overall, the gameplay is sweet and is one of the most unique I've ever seen in an RPG maker game!

Graphics:
The Graphics in this game are wonderful! I love the lighting effects in the dungeon and it features the one of the most cutest portrait artworks ever! Btw, I love love the animated battler sprites!! They're absolutely cool and fits so well with the cute artworks being presented! I can see that a lot of work was put into the sprite-work and the animations. The game also has some cool set of skills too (I especially love the Shackle skill). The menu window-skin are also very simple yet effective, while having some cool features like records.

Music:
Music was fast-paced and was well used on every occasion in the game. I especially like the battle theme.

OVERALL:
I think this game has tons and tons of potential! In fact, if it were a full game, I feel like it has the potential to become the next Ara Fell or something! xD But that's just me, cause I easily marvel in wondrous things like these. :) Tons of effort was put into this game and it is shown with how awesome everything is. If it were a full game, I'd definitely score this a 5/5.

Thanks for the review!
Glad to see you like the presentation of the game so far (grammar errors and words out of context aside, which has been fixed in dev version). And for the Shackle, it has been reworked in the dev version so in the next update it'll have a different behavior.

Anyway, you mistook the title; Skyward Temple is another project made by another person, while this one is An Empty Tome (previously known as Project Dungeon).

Cheers~
You're welcome richter_h!! ^_^ And wow, hahah, my bad about the title! XD :) I'll change it ASAP! XD :) I have to admit, I kinda got confused by the two games for a while there! XD :) But yeah, this was an amazing project, so keep it up! ^_^
