Story
Long ago, the devastating creature known as BOSS was created. Since their inception, the BOSS had ravaged mankind, leading them into hiding and destroying the land itself.
During the final struggle of man vs. BOSS a man named Kyle McGuyver raised the Sword of Elements and led a brutal blow to the BOSS species. Though he was killed in battle, his efforts were not forgotten.
It is years later, and Kyle's only son, Dude, will be led unwillingly into the world of BOSS to fulfill his father's destiny.

Setting
Taking place in the Daya Desert of the porpocopo continent.

Purpose of Game
To see what RPG Maker XP could do, like dipping one's toe in the bath to check the warmth. ...or something.

The Adventure Continues...

Way back in the age when RPG Maker was a foreign idea to me, a friend gave me a floppy disc with "RPG Maker 95+" on it. I thought, that's kinda cool. Then opened it up, and had no idea wtf I was doing. So, as per my custom of not reading manuals, I dove right in. Made the hero "Dude" and started the long series of Dude's Adventure.
There was Dude's Adventure, Dude's Incredible Adventure, Dude's Omega Adventure, Dude's Phantasy Adventure and Dude's Final Adventure. He has been a legend in my cast of RM characters over the ages, and has held countless cameos in other games.

Having no idea what was what in RPG Maker left me figuring things out on the fly. So when I started the Adventure, I thought, "well, he might as well have a spell." And tried to figure spells out. Thus, "Under My Bed" was born. After this, I thought... well, that's kinda borning. Where's the zelda discovery dingle? And thus, the "powerup.wav" was born.

I have no idea anymore what I was thinking as I made the game, except that it was a fun ride.
Years later, RM XP comes out and I break down and try it out. What to make though? Take Down would be way too much work when figuring something out... so...? Dude's Adventure? But that had an ending. It was over it was... time for a rehash.

The Quest of Dude follows the general guideline of Dude's Adventure, shares the names and spell names and most of the BOSS. However, because Dude's Aventure was so long ago, and I forgot how it went really, I opted to just wing it, yet again.
That is how the Quest of Dude series came into being. It is a rehash, yet so incredibly different, the two series hardly co-exist.

Now you have read information on perhaps the second most useless top in the universe. Snail sex is probably more useless.
